How well does Kinetic Nonionic Surfactant work as a wetting agent for peat?

1. Will this have any negative effects on the plant or people who eat from the plant housed in the Kinetic infused soil? 2. About how long would the wetting agent effects last? At least a season or is it like other organic surfactants that break down very quick(Around 3 months) and require multiple applications.

Answer:

Kinetic Nonionic Surfactant is a nonionic surfactant, wetter, spreader sticker that provides rapid spreading and absorption of pesticide, fungicide and nutrient sprays into plant leaves and stems.  It would not be recommended to be used for as a wetting agent for peat as it is for Liquid Fertilizers, Fungicides, Herbicides and Insecticides as directed on the product label.  Kinetic is usually added to help these products better stick to plants and other vegetation, it is not applied to soil or peat.  It is safe when used as directed on the label and can generally be applied as often as the product it is mixed with is needed to be applied.  We do apologize but are unable to answer the remaining questions as they pertain to an off label usage that we do not have information on.
