If there is no residual with Shockwave and it kills on contact how can the IGR work properly?

I was wondering, If there is no residual and it kills on contact how can the IGR work properly? I thought that it has to be carried on the mosquito legs.

Answer:

Shockwave does in fact leave a residual. Most fogging concentrates do not leave a residual but with the recent changes to Shockwave and the ingredients that were added to the product such as the IGR and the Esfenvalerate a residual will be left. Any insects that are present during the fogging will be killed immediately. Insects that come into contact with treated areas after the fogging will be eliminated at a much slower rate.
