Details

Add a commercial spreader/sticker to promote coverage on hard to wet foliage such as holly, pine, or ivy.

Application To Turf-grass

ImidaPro 2SC has adequate residual activity that applications can be made preceding the egg laying activity of the target pests. High levels of control can be achieved when applications are made prior to or during egg hatch of the target pests. The need for an application can be based on historical monitoring of the site, previous records or experiences, current season adult trapping or other methods. Optimum control will be achieved when applications are made prior to egg hatch of target pests, followed by sufficient irrigation or rainfall is required to move the active ingredient through the hatch.

Application To Ornamentals

ImidaPro 2SC can be applied to ornamental plants in commercial and residential landscapes and interior plantscapes. ImidaPro 2SC is systemic insecticide that is transported within the plant system from the roots to upper foliage ImidaPro 2SC must be applied into a growing area of the plant that allows absorption of the active ingredient. Adding soluble nitrogen type fertilizers to the spray solution when appropriate can promote the uptake of the active ingredient. Application can be made by foliar application or soil applications; including soil injection, drenches, and broadcast sprays. Foliar applications offer locally systemic activity against insect pests. The systemic translocation of the active ingredient will be slower when applied to woody plants with soil applications. This delay can take 60 days or longer depending on species and size of plant. To offset this, make applications before anticipated pest infestation.

Definitive Systemic Insect Control for Trees and Shrubs

    By Anonymous on 06/14/2013

I am a big fan of systemic pesticides for trees and ornamental plants. My yard is large and is jam packed with Pecan and Live Oak trees. Using tank sprayers with special nozzles for spray distance eventually wore me out. I started with the Bayer brand years ago but finally selected the ImidaPro 2SC brand to provide the potency and breadth of coverage the Bayer brand (consumer product) simply can't provide. So far... so good.... using it on trees aged 4 years to over 35 years... fast acting. New foilage "everywhere" undamaged by bugs and pests. Strongly recommended

    ImidaPro 2SC

    By Andrew on 04/27/2015

I have been using this product for some time now. Applied properly and with the recommended frequency, this product TOTALLY eliminates the need for "foliage type sprays" for controlling and eliminating unwanted insects on trees and shrubs.

Fast shipping and great price for ImidaPro

    By Anonymous on 08/24/2013

We bought this product to try to save about 200 pines and junipers in our windbreak. It does look as though they are not getting any worse, but it will probably be a month or two before we can tell if this product has really saved our trees. DoMyOwnPestControl.com is a great store...fast shipping, excellent packaging and great prices.

    IimidaPro 2SC

    By Davis on 05/22/2017

Very good company to order from, received this product quickly every thing in order. We were using this product to kill leaf miner in boxwood. It is very effective. The only thing is figuring out how much to use on large 5' & 6' heavy infested bushes.

Q
Can I mix ImidaPro 2SC with Bifen IT?

I want to spray my lawn with ImidaPro 2SC for the grubs, and Bifen IT for other bugs. Is there any reason I couldn't mix these in the sprayer to do them both at once?

A

You actually can mix these two products together and apply them at the same time. This does not apply with all insecticides but due to the pests on each of these labels, how they are used, and the chemical classes being completely different you can tank mix them with no problem.

Q
Can ImidaPro 2SC be diluted with water to bring it down to a 1.47% solution that is more manageable?

I am currently using Bayer with the same active ingredient to soak the roots of my azaleas, podocarpus and other like plants. Do you know the shelf life of the product?

A

Imidapro 2SC is labeled to be used on most non-edible plants. You will use 0.46 to 0.6 fluid ounces (14 to 17 mL) per 1,000 sq. ft or .1 -.2 fl oz of product per foot of plant height.(you can mix the product in the amount of water that is easy for you to handle since water is only the carrier (use at least 2 gallons of water per 1,000 sq ft for broadcast sprays or at least 1 pint of water per ft of plant height)

You should plan on using the product within 3 years of purchase to insure efficacy.

Q
Use for hemlock adelgid prevention

I would like to spray the drip zone of large (6-8" DBA) and small hemlock (2-4 ft) for ongoing protection from hemlock adelgids. I hope to find insight on appropriate concentration for mixing with water, then apply uniformly to the drip zone of large and small trees.

A
When using the ImidaPro 2SC as a soil drench for Hemlock Woolly Adelgids you should use 0.1-0.2 fl. oz. (3 ml - 6 ml) of ImidaPro per inch of trunk diameter (D.B.H.) diluted in 1 pint - 1 gallon of water per inch of trunk diameter per the product label.  The amount of water that is used will vary depending on soil conditions and volumes that are easy for applicators to use. The minimum amount of water that should be used is 1 pint per inch of trunk diameter but you may use 1 quart -1 gallon of water per inch of trunk diameter.
Denser soils such as clay do not accept water as readily, so the lower volume of water is suggested.  Since sandy soils can accept more water, using the higher volume of water is preferred. After the soil drench has been applied you should water it in with at east 1/2 inch of water. Note: Water simply acts as a carrier and it is important that even distribution of the product is achieved. Thus, more water may be used if the applicator feels runoff will not occur and proper penetration of the root zone is achieved. Insecticides applied to the soil are taken up by the roots and trans-located throughout the tree or shrub. Root/soil drenches offer the advantage of requiring no special equipment to apply (other than a bucket or watering can). However, surface layers of organic matter, such as mulch or leaf litter, can bind the insecticide and reduce uptake. Before applying drenches, it is important to remove or pull back any mulch or dead leaves so the insecticide solution is poured directly on the mineral soil. It is also important to keep the soil around the tree or shrub moist for the next 7-10 days.
