ImiGold 0.5 G is for broadcast application on and around turfgrass, ornamentals, trees, shrubs, flowers, groundcovers, and in and around commercial or residential buildings. Apply ImiGold 0.5 G uniformly over area being treated with normally used granular application equipment. Both drop-type and rotary-type spreaders may be used. For optimum control, product application should be followed by mechanical incorporation, irrigation, or rainfall, to help move the active ingredient into the soil.

Good product, bad label??
By Baj on July 12, 2012The product is very, very fine. At the recommended setting on our Scott's drop spreader, it dispensed extremely quickly. Consequently, we did not get the coverage we had anticipated. We're not yet sure how well it works on the areas covered. Even though it was dispensed prior to July 15, we are seeing damaged areas on our lawn. Perhaps because of the unusually hot summer, we should have put the product on earlier. That said, DoMyOwnPestControl.com shipped the product quickly. We have no problems with the company, just the labeling. We would purchase from them again.

True salvation for a poorly neglected yard
By Shirley on July 30, 2012I'm not sure what's worse, the grub/Japanese Beetle infestation in my newly acquired yard or the neighbors who cultivate every weed and pest! Easy to use
By Howard on April 30, 2013 Verified PurchaseRec'd package, opened it and found bag had several small holes (approx size of 1/8") across the bag with granules leaked out into cardboard box it came in. Immaterial loss of product but with no holes in cardboard box, it had to have been packed in this condition. Not disturbed by quantity of product lost but think this should have been discovered by whoever packed this. Product spread into yard. We'll see how it performs as summer sets in. Had chinch bugs & white grubs problem last year.

AThe best time of year to apply Imigold 0.5 G is fully dependent on the type of vegetation you are treating and the pest you are trying to control. For the correct usage information you can read the product label or contact your local cooperative extension office and request to speak to the master gardener on staff. The master gardener can usually provide you with the correct application times for your region.

AWe have never had any reports that the Imigold 0.5G causes grubs to be more active after the treatment. It does make sense though that after an insect such as a grub comes into contact with an insecticide that they will start to behave a bit differently as many of the insecticides interrupt their nervous systems making them more active than normal.

AThe problem with the honey bees is when they gather nectar and pollen from treated plants. In this case you will likely be treating your lawn and not flowering trees and bushes which should limit the exposure to the honey bees. The other option would be to use Milky Spore to control the grubs. Milky Spore is not harmful to anything except for Japanese beetle grubs. Milky Spore Powder is a natural, safe, effective grub control product that can remain in the soil for up to twenty years. This is an OMRI certified organic control of Japanese beetle grub control that is safe to use with other herbicides and insecticides that is safe to use around birds, bees, pets and fish and around pools and ponds. Milky Spore Powder contains Bacillus popillae, a bacterium that kills grubs by multiplying inside the grubs, causing them to die. The spores are then dispersed in nearby soil, which is how the product is able to exist in your soil for so long and even comes with a ten-year guarantee.

AHi Yield Grub Free Zone can be sold to CT. Also, Adonis 75 WSP which also contains Imidacloprid can also be sold to CT. If you still want Merit, most folks will just have the product shipped to a family member or friend outside that restricted state and then they will ship the item to you.
