Richard from Phoenix, Az writes

I installed termite bait stations, termites took the bait, installed Termite Bait II. Now what?

Do they get replaced at some point? Do I still check them periodically? How do I know they are working?

Answer:

Once the bait cartridge has been applied inside the station, it should continue to be checked every 3 months.  How long the station will last depends solely on the size of the termite colony and how much they eat, however the stations are made to at least last for 3 months against a large colony. If you get a hit on one or multiple stations, you will replace the green inspection/monitoring cartridge with the bait cartridge in only the stations with activity. The bait will be carried through the colony and dispersed to feed the others and should kill the existing colony. If the termites have already found their way into your home but also found the stations, the bait cartridge alone will not rid you of that colony and a treatment with a product like Termidor SC would be needed. Please let us know if you have any other quetions.
