  • Asked by Michelle from Des Moines, Iowa

    Q
We have ant all over our yard and they are eating our grass seed.
We have ants all over our yard and bare areas I'm trying to seed. Plus we have a dog. Should we use this product and directly on the dirt where we lay the seed? Will it eventually kill the ants in other places in our yard as well? Do you have another product to get rid of rabbits? I can't grow any flowers as they eat them.
    A

InTice 10 Perimeter Bait can be used to help control ants and other listed insects in your yard without damage to the grass seed or to pets. You should store unused product out of reach of pets and monitor them if they are near or in the treated area. If you are seeing large numbers of ants that are causing damage to the grass, then you may want to go with an insecticide granule which is then watered into the ground, such as DeltaGard G Granules. You would need to keep pets out of the treatment area until after you have watered in the granules and this has dried.

  • Asked by Michael from Fallbrook California

    Q
How can I control ant problems on fruit trees organically
I have hundreds of fruit trees, some of them have ants carrying fungi & other pest
    A
You do have a couple of options. You can bait around the base of the trees using ant bait granules or liquid/gels baits in ant bait stations. This will keep the products away from the trees but still allow the ants access to the bait. The other option would be to use horticultural oil or soap to help kill the ants that are present and also the aphids they are likely going into the trees to farm.

  • Asked by Tim from Dallas, Tx
    09/21/2017
    Q
Is it wise to mix Advion Fire Ant Bait with Intice 10?
    A

We generally would not recommend mixing different baits such as Advion and InTice 10 since they will have different food attractants and possibly different labeling as to where they are safe to be used. You can always test if fire ants or other target ants are foraging with a small amount of bait, and then apply more bait as long as ants are accepting it. Also, if ants find a few granules they do not want, then they may just avoid the entire area rather than being picky about which bait they are accepting.

  • Asked by L.k. from Atlanta, Ga

    Q
Is InTice 10 Perimeter Bait safe for wildlife, birds, squirrels and chipmunks?
My backyard is next to a creek which contains lots of visiting wildlife in our backyard (rabbits, chipmunks, squirrels, frogs, birds), I want to use a safe bait that will kill the bugs but not harm the wildlife.
    A

InTice 10 Perimeter Bait is safe when used as directed.  You do not want to apply in areas around the creek or where runoff will wash the product into the creek.  You can use the bait in a station to help prevent this.  The InTice Border Patrol System would be good.

  • Asked by John from S.e. Michigan
    04/28/2017
    Q
I live in Michigan and it can get pretty damp during summer with he humidity and I have a pretty bad Springtails.
They come back every year. in both basement and up stairs bathrooms and in my kitchen. It's not a "wet" basement and we have a dehumidifier going all summer. And my bathroom upstairs with the shower has an exhaust fan as well. So typical moisture nothing excessive. I see then around the sinks and toilets mostly because they show against the light colors but i am sure they are all over. I have tried bleach in the sink and I don't want to go crazy with the tallistar P in teh bathrooms for obvious reasons. blah blah blah... nothing seems to work. I have seen the INTICE 10 as outside bait but not sure if that is really going to work? Any help/advice is appreciated.
    A

Intice 10 will not work for springtails due to their feeding habits. We would recommend trying a dust such as Delta Dust in and around all of the cracks and crevices where you are seeing activity. Delta dust is a good choice because it works even if it gets damp and it lasts up to 6 months. We would further recommend that you treat the exterior of your home with Talstar P. Pull back any mulch, straw or plant bedding at least 6 inches from your home. Make sure your gutters are in good condition and are not causing water to pool against the structure.

  • Asked by Maura from Jackson, Nj
    03/28/2017
    Q
Would a perimeter application around the outside of the house with InTtice 10 Perimeter Bait work to keep camel crickets out?
    A

InTice 10 Perimeter Bait is labeled for crickets in general but it is not specifically labeled for camel crickets. We would recommend a product such as Niban Granular Bait which does specifically list camel crickets on the product label.
