Product Documents
Treating clogged drains with hot water, bleach, ammonia, or other ordinary drain cleaners is inefficient. Only the regular use of a highly concentrated, professional strength biosanitation product like InVade Bio Drain will adequately cut through drain scum to prevent odors.
InVade Bio Drain Product Features:
1. InVade Bio Drain incorporates natural citrus oil to eliminate nasty odors and leave drains smelling like fresh oranges
2. Thickened microbial formula easily coats the sides of drains
3. InVade Bio Drain advanced formula eats through drain scum and organic material
4. InVade Bio Drain allows drains to run freely and prevents costly blockages
To use Invade Bio Drain:
1. If drain to be treated is not used regularly, first moisten the drain with 1 to 2 gallon of warm water before treatment
2. Apply product at periods of time during the day when drains are in lowest usage
3. Apply 4 oz to each drain around the edges, making sure to coat the sides.
4. Repeat daily for 5-7 days and then every 1-2 weeks for ongoing maintenance.
5. For drains that have a very heavy layer of scum, clean the drain with a brush before beginning treatment for immediate results and then maintain with InVade Bio Drain to prevent further build-up.
NOTE: InVade Bio Drain is not a substitute for general sanitation. Sanitation is key to eliminate drain flies! To eliminate drain flies, fruit flies, and other fly pests, a total sanitation program is key. The problem area must be clean completely, including eliminate standing water as much as possible and properly disposing of food waste into a plastic bag in a trash receptacle with a tight fitting lid. When the area has been sufficiently cleaned, the drains may be attacked with InVade Bio Drain. For treatment of floor or trough drains, first remove the screens and scrape off any organic matter.
Use InVade Bio Drain in soda fountains to eliminate "Sugar Snake": Sugar snakes are the long, crystallized, rigid polymers that grow and clog drain lines in soda fountain machines. These polymers are caused by certain bacteria left behind by sugars when these machines are not adequately maintained. Sugar Snakes that are not treated may lead to costly drain line backups and foul smelling odors. Treat soda fountain drain lines with InVade Bio Drain to prevent or minimize sugar snake problems.

My bathroom drains had a very mildewing smell. This product took care of the odor by the second application. The gel itself has a pleasant odor and is easy to use. I will definitely purchase the product again. Also, I will be quick to look for other products from this company!

Bye bye annoying drain flies!

I had tiny drain flies coming up from my basement floor drain. I threw a gallon of bleach down the drain and that didn't faze them one bit. They were back the next day. After turning to the Internet for advice I found favorable reviews on Bio Drain. I bought two bottles. I followed the directions on the bottle and noticed within a couple applications the flies were gone. I kept using it for a week and they are completely gone. It's been 2 weeks now and I haven't seen any. I'm not sure if it will continue to work long term but I have another bottle should those pesty flies return.

8/9/11-treated kitchen & bathroom drains. I thought the kitchen drains (sink/disposal) were the source of our drain fly problem, but did bathroom drains too. 8/11/11-treated kitchen drains every other day thru 8/17. No sign of drain flies since 8/15 treatment. 8/21/11-started once a week treatment of kitchen drains as recommended on bottle. 8/25/11-no sign of flies, so product is doing its job. Hooray!

Works as advertised

We have a small bathroom in our basement that's not used, and there is a drain in the floor outside this bathroom. Both the toilet and the drain have developed an issue of breeding small black chalk-like bugs that hatch in the drain and fly through the rest of the house. Very difficult to get rid of! With a bit of research online, I came across this product and took a chance. The product is safe and easy to use; one treatment solved my problem! The bugs are gone-thank you!

Once again I have received the best customer service from Do My Own Pest Control. Not only is the service great, but the product also is. It's easy to use, isn't messy and the cost is reasonable. The product is shipped the same day (usually) and arrives within one to two days after being shipped. I will continue to order this product from Do My Own Pest Control as needed in the future.

InVade Bio Drain... Amazing

In searching for a solution for a smelly drain, I was surprised that a product designed for drain "pests" would be the answer. This product is terrific. Not only does it easily take care of the odor in my otherwise clean bathroom, it has a pleasant citrus scent. Periodic use keeps the drain fresh. Money well spent!

By Alice on August 14, 2012We used this product in basement sump pumps. We had an infestation of drain flies. At first we tried another brand of microbial product. Then we switched to this InVade. This works well.

Works well on drain flies
By Alice on August 4, 2012We had a drain fly problem and had first tried another product that had been highly recommended. However, DoMyOwnPestControl recommended this product. This was more effective at preventing flies from hatching and was less expensive. I recommend it for drain fly problems.

This product has substantially helped reduce the population of our drain flies. There are still a couple around here and there, but we haven't finished the treatment yet. There was a very quick and noticeable reduction right away. Also, it smells really nice for a pest control product (like oranges).

Invade Bio Drain

I've gone through four quarts of product and I still have drain flies. I followed the instructions and was hoping to eliminate this problem. It hasn't. Also, the adhesive strips I received in my first order did not work. The flies must not be heavy enough to get stuck on the strips. Very strong adhesive. Just not tacky enough for flies. The only effective item I've gotten is the spray can. I spray around the drains and for a while no flies. I give up trying it with the Invade Bio Drain. I guess I'll have to call an exterminator.

August 2, 2012Robert from Chicago, Il asked:
QDrain gel is very thick and doesn't really get into the drain.
I just got a gallon of this. The product is so thick that it doesn't really go down into the drain very well; most of it stays around the edge of the drain and in the sink. Should one pour a bit of lukewarm water into the sink to force it down into the drain?
AYou can, but the product is supposed to be thick so it coats the drain as it goes down. You should direct the gel just down the lip and sides going into the drain. You should not coat on top of the drain on the sink so it won't go down the drain.
December 7, 2009Lillian asked:
QHow do I get rid of drain flies in the kitchen?
I am having a big problem with drain flies in my home kitchen.. my problem is that I cannot remove the cross bars in sink drain, so I will not be able to apply the gel to the sides of drain. Before I purchase, I thought I would ask your help...these things are really annoying, and I would like to rid them, prior to the holidays. Thanks!
AMost people cannot remove the cross bars on the drain and that is ok. The Invade bio drain and our other gels have a spout on the top and you can squeeze the bottle and "shoot" the product out the spout onto the sides of the drain. Also if you treat along the outside perimeter of the drain it should run down the sides where it needs to go. You may want to consider our drain fly kit which has a very high success rate.
July 20, 2010Peg asked:
QDoes Draino kill the microbial action of Invade Bio Drain? I had to use it between orders.
ADraino contains some very harsh chemicals and most likely would kill the microbial action of the Invade Bio Drain. We recommend rinsing the drain very thoroughly before reapplying the drain treatment.
May 1, 2011Lisa asked:
QIs InVade Bio Drain septic safe?
AYes, Invade Bio Drain is safe for septic systems.
