    Q
What can I use to get rid of half black/half red ants that have take over the back yard?
    A
We have a terrific product called InVict Blitz Ant Granules. InVict Blitz uses Imidacloprid and a unique, proprietary bait matrix to deliver a heavy, sustained attack to colonies of persistent ant species such as Carribean, Rasberry, Crazy, Tawny, Big-headed, and Argentine ants. Persistent ants find the bait matrix used in InVict Blitz Ant Granules irresistably delicious and they take the granules containing the powerful active Imidacloprid right into the heart of the colony destroying it from within. Use InVict Blitz Ant Granules indoors, outdoors, and on turf.

    Q
Will the birds eat the InVict Blitz and will it hurt our earth worms?
I try to be as organic as possible but we bought a new home last august (north Texas) and the crazy ants have been left unchecked. I ordered 3 bottles of Invict Blitz granules and will soon spread. I do not want to harm our many birds and I am trying to build healthy soil. My question is will Invict Blitz harm the good critters?
    A
Invict Blitz works by ingestion by the insect and the small amount of active ingredient in the product is only enough to kill a small insect so they should not effect something larger like a bird.  Typically earthworms tend to stay several inches below the surface and remain hidden away from insecticide applications so there should not be any issues with a bait applied on the soil surface.

    Q
How often can InVict Blitz Ant Granules be applied?
    A

Per the product label when treating inside or outside with InVict Blitz Ant Granules, you can reapply after one week if an infestation is still present. In the future to prevent large insect populations from developing around structures in warm months, a quarterly application around the perimeter and to harborage areas is recommended. This treatment is particularly effective to help prevent the establishment of large colonies.

    Q
Hi friends, I live in Cumming and I own a house with that fake stucco.
One year I did a bathroom reno and behind the bathroom walls there were pounds and pounds of ants, just like gunpowder. I believed that the ants had been attracted to the rotting studs . But now, studs stay dry and I still have little ants in the wall, across the ceiling, etc,. I believe I need to go to attic and sprinkle stuff inside wall, around light fixture, what poison do you like? Plain old boric acid? Invict? Thanks.
    A
We think instead of using an ant bait, a liquid or aerosol such as Phantom would do a better job. Phantom is a great choice for "social" insects such as ants or those insects that congregate together for nesting and feeding. Phantom offers a delayed kill that gives insects time to get back to the nest and infect other insects with the insecticide. Phantom is also a non-repellent insecticide which means that sensitive insects like roaches can not tell that it is there and they readily cross over the treatment area. Phantom is usually used indoors for current infestations as a crack and crevice spray only. Exterior applications are limited to spot and crack and crevice treatments around door frames, window frames, eaves, attic vents, and holes where utilities enter into the structure

    Q
What will work on tawny crazy ants ? (nylanderia filva)
    A

You should try to treat the colony or nesting site directly. Crazy Ant mounds are not readily visible above ground. Possible nesting sites for Crazy Ants include: soil beneath landscape timbers, logs, mulch firewood and other debris. Crazy Ants may also nest inside rotting wood and tree holes. You can read our article on crazy ants for more treatment information: How to Get Rid of Cray Ants

    Q
Is InVict Blitz Ant Granules able to be applied with Talstar Pro in my yard? How long before each application and would using both products be effective?
    A

Using both Invict Blitz Ant Granules and Talstar Pro will be very effective and you have two ways you may apply depending on the layout of your property and what is most convenient for you.

If wanting to use the the Invict Blitz Ant Granules, apply a band 1-3ft wide around perimeter of structure and to individual mounds (1/2-1oz per mound). Wait 3-4 days and allow bait to work and eliminate colony then you can broadcast Talstar over the entire property mixing at 1oz per gallon of water/ 1,000sq ft.

If you want to use Talstar 1st, mix at 1oz per gallon of water/1,000sq feet and apply as broadcast over the entire yard. Once Talstar has dried completely, then you can follow up with the Invict Blitz Ant Granules as band and individual mound treatments. Please see product label for further information.
