Mom from Lincoln Ne writes

Is Bedlam Spray what i should use for treating bagged and packed items?

My exterminator says to pack up books, pictures, knick knacks, etc, and spray this inside the tote. How long do I leave it contained to be safe I've killed everything inside?

Answer:

The Bedlam insecticide spray would not actually be the best option for these items. If you are planning to enclose items like pictures and knick knacks in a storage tote or trash bag for treatment, you need to use the Nuvann Pro Strips. Each strip releases a vapor that builds up and fills the tote to kill anything within any crevice of the items inside it. Each container once sealed with the strip inside, needs to stay closed for 2 weeks. After that time fram you can remove all belongings and know they have been treated and the insects have been eliminated. Bedlam is something used for edges of dresser drawers, cracks and crevices of rooms and sides of mattresses and couch and chair cushions. Just as water would likely damage a picture or book, bedlam would do the same if you sprayed it on these items. Just spraying around the items does not take care of the potential insects inside each item that might not come out of hiding after you put them in the tote. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
