This is for my personal cat - when he gets out of our yard (which we try our best to keep him in) he ignores me and stays just out of reach. He's probably too smart to let me catch him with a pole, but I'll try anything. It's for his own safety as he is missing a front leg and jumping down from heights could be harmful or fatal.
