Used nyguard and now have thousands of crinkled roaches, some with egg capsules. Would talstar be the right product to use to get rid of my severe problem? can I mix nyguard with it? I'm really having a terrible time getting rid of these pests, so if there is a better product to use please tell me and i'll buy it.
The NyGuard is only birth control to keep the roaches from reproducing and side effects of that are the crinkled look. The NyGuard does not kill any insect. You need to be mixing an insecticide with the NyGuard to control the roaches. For a heavy infestation we recommend Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide. It is going to be a slower kill but it will reach the entire colony better than other products. It is designed to have a delayed kill so that the roaches you DO see will pick the Phantom up on their skin and transfer it to the other roaches that you DONT see. Mix 3 ounces of Phantom and 4-8ml of NyGuard IGR in the same gallon of water and spray around baseboards, cracks and crevices, behind refridgerators and stoves and around any window and door frames they could be coming in through. Also it is a good idea to use a bait gel in the areas that you cant spray like inside kithen and bathroom cabinets. The best roach bait to use would be the Maxforce FC Magnum. You would need on average 3-4 tubes and you can watch the video on the Maxforce Magnum page to see where and how to apply the product to get the best results.
