Is the combo Permethrin + NyGuard safe in the home for an 11-month old who is crawling?

This combo was applied and we waited the full drying period before returning to the home. There was a strong odor and I am hesitant to allow my child to crawl on the floors. I see posts about the permethin not being safe for even clothing application, so I worry it poses a risk after carpet application. Is there harm in allowing my child to now roam about the house? Why is it dangerous when wet, but safe when dry.

Answer:

Permethrin SFR 36.8% cannot be applied to clothing.  Permethrin SFR 36.8% mixed with Nyguard IGR is safe for children and pets after drying. There is a slight odor, but that dissapates over a short time. In the original wet state, it can irritate skin. That is why we recommend to keep children and pets away until dried. If the treated area were to get wet it does not "reactivate".
