Is there a selective pre-emergent that won't kill palm trees?

I have a variety of weeds growing around palm trees and on a different site, pine trees. What can I use to kill everything but the trees?

Answer:

A good choice for pre-emergent control of a wide variety of broadleaf and grassy weeds around established ornamental trees such as pines and palms would be Snaphot 2.5 TG. This is a granule pre-emergent herbicide with a long list of both controlled weeds and tolerable ornamental species on the product label. If you would like to provide the names of any specific weeds that you are targeting, then we may be able to make a more specific recommendation for you.
