JT Eaton Bait Block Rodenticide with Peanut Butter Flavorizer (#709-PN)

The JT Eaton Bait Block Rodenticide with Peanut Butter Flavorizer (709-PN) brings a new aroma in bait stations that will surely captivate a lot of rodents’ attention. It contains Diphacinone that is dramatically alluring and lethal for rodents. Rodents will die within 4 to 7 days. The peanut butter flavor is certified attractive to house mice, roof rats and Norway rats. For best results, find out sites where rats or mice will most likely see and ingest the bait. Bait Block Rodenticide is ideal to use in homes, industrial and commercial buildings, permanent or temporary residences, food processing facilities, trash receptacles, agricultural and public buildings, transport vehicles (ships, trains, aircraft), port of terminal buildings, and related structures around and associated with these sites. Fence and perimeter baiting beyond 100 feet from a structure is prohibited. Clear away any food from the location to be baited. Always secure bait from snow or rain. Bait Block Rodenticide with Peanut Butter Flavorizer is available in a 9 pound pail.

UPDATE: Each pail now comes with 144 of 1 oz blocks instead of 72 of 2 oz blocks. These will now fit in most bait stations. Same weight = 9 lb pail.

APPLICATION DIRECTIONS:

For Rats: Apply 2 to 8 blocks (4 to 16 oz. of bait) per placement. Maintain an uninterrupted supply of fresh bait for at least 10 days.

For Mice: While wearing waterproof gloves break each 2 oz. block into 3 pieces and place 1 or 2 pieces at 8- to 12- foot intervals. Larger placements (up to 3 pieces (2 oz.) may be needed at points of very high mouse activity. Maintain an uninterrupted supply of fresh bait for at least 15 days.

Follow Up: Replace contaminated or spoiled bait immediately. Collect and dispose of all dead animals and any leftover bait properly. To prevent reinfestation, limit sources of rodent food, water, and harborages as much as possible. If reinfestation does occur, repeat treatment. Where a continuous source of infestation is present, establish permanent bait stations and replenish with fresh bait as often as needed.

NOTICE: To the extent consistent with applicable law, buyer assumes all risk of use, storage or handling of this material not in strict accordance with direction given herewith.

By Bob in Cleveland Ohio on 10/27/2016

these blocks get good results. My only complaint is they are too big so I cut them down to 1/3 to put out along with xt blocks to give the rats and mice food choices. I am a pro and use a lot of these.

1 of 5 stars  Gigantic bait blocks
By Bob in Cleveland Ohio on 11/19/2015

I just received my first order of these blocks so I can't yet rate their attractiveness or effectiveness but I can rate the ridiculous big size of the blocks. There are 3 sections per block with narrowed waists between them - only the middle section has a hole thru it. And the instructions say break the blocks into 3 pieces! Why not just make smaller blocks with a hole thru each? Ridiculous!

By Ed in Vancouver, WA on 06/15/2017

I put some out in a shed and little bits of it have disappeared. Like the idea of peanut butter to lure them in better.

4 of 5 stars  Good Product, Easy to apply
By Jack in Alabama on 06/27/2017

Field mice started to use my car and my truck as nesting site. Started stripping the under hood insulation to use for nesting material. Put out 12 blocks around the autos. The day after application i found that only 6 blocks had been nibbled on. The second day all were gone. Its been a month and I have not seen any evidence of new nesting sites in the car or truck.

QDoes JT Eaton Bait Block Rodenticide with Peanut Butter Flavorizer degrade when wet?
Due to construction on our block, we have daily visits from rats. They are not interested in the bait stations so I am putting out small pieces in a pile. Will the potency degrade when it rains?

A

JT Eaton Bait Block Rodenticide with Peanut Butter Flavorizer††should be used in tamper resistant stations to keep from receiving irrigation to the product.

QWill JT Eaton Bait Block Rodenticide with Peanut Butter Flavorizer (709-PN) fit into the Protecta RTU bait stations?

A

JT Eaton Bait Block Rodenticide 709-PN has a unique shape that must be broken apart before using in bait stations. It may be difficult to break the blocks into a shape that will fit into the small Protecta RTU Stations, but one third of a block should fit inside the station. You may want to consider a different bait if you already have these stations. Ditrac All Weather Blox have the same active ingredient and are made by Bell Labs to fit into their bait stations.
