Great Trap

I purchased these traps and was skeptable about how they may perform to my needs. I have been over run with chipmunks and wanted an easier way to eliminate them. The chipmunks were lured to the traps with pecans. I set one trap out at first and found it performed excellent within hours. I reset the trap, which I found clean due to the flat killing surface, and had another victim again within hours. I then set all 4 of the purchased traps before work the next day and found all traps sprung by the time I returned home. The main target, chipmunks, cleaned very well with no mess. One trap however caught a field mouse and was a little gross by the delicate structure with compressed all too easily. All in all, a great trap.

I mounted the traps on special stands so I don't lose them. And after one week and a half, I have got rid of SIXTY NINE ( 69 ) of these pests In my Garden, My plants are so happy, I would Recommend these Traps. I use peanut hulls as bait.

A Mixed Bag

The price I paid was a good value ($5) and I caught two chipmunks within a short time with the JAWZ trap, although one was killed and the other was still alive while caught in the trap. I reset the trap but the next morning it was gone so I assume an animal got it stuck on it's nose and ran away with it, never to be found again. If I get another trap, I will have to figure out a way to anchor it down so I won't lose another one.

Quick, efficient And very inexpensive.

I originally ordered one of the live traps from this site. However, after my wife saw our dog tear after a chipmunk and ruin part of our landscape she authorized these kill traps. I am extremely happy with switching to these kill traps. they are inexpensive, quick and efficient. I ordered three of them. Within one and a half hours of setting the three I had killed two chipmunks. Over the course of about 3+ weeks we have eliminated 30 chipmunks. Bad infestation. One trap did break. just be aware they are made entirely of plastic and you have to be careful with manipulating them. A latch broke on one of ours making it useless now.

This is the best trap out there to get rid of chipmunks. the only drawback is that sometimes the animal, such as a squirrel could damage the trap....better construction could be in order. BUT, still i've used this trap with great success. You won't regret it.

This trap seemed like just what I needed to take care of my chipmunk problem. I filled it with peanut butter and 2 almonds. For several days they ignored it and then today I went out and all the peanut butter and the 2 almonds were completely gone and the trap was never tripped. I cant figure out how they did it!

Got it - baited it- set it out in my garden shed and had a dead rat in it the following morning!!! Hoped for the same results against my chipmunk population but have been disappointed so far. I think you need to build a BIGGER AND STRONGER TRAP for these varmints since I believe they use their front legs instead of their heads to trigger the trap and are getting away. SO - make a new one that's bigger stronger and better and I'll buy it!

We have struggled with chipmunks for over a year and have tried many things. Finally, a solution to the problem. These traps work! They are easy to set and release. They are sturdy and ours have been used over and over without trouble. The seller is reliable and shipping is quick.

Traps not staying cocked

I bought these traps last year and they worked great for a few months. For some reason all of a sudden many of them became useless because of the inability of them to stay cocked. I have e-mailed the Jawz company several times to ask for guidance in this matter but have yet to receive a response. Very disappointing! Bill
