I just purchased the Advance Termite Bait System. Directions say to place the bait stations about 10' apart.

1) Should I make sure to place them at each corner of the house 1st, then approximately 10' apart? 2) When Orkin gave me an estimate, they wanted to drill holes and apply liquid termite kill along the width of the driveway (3car garage, so driveway is 30 feet wide). I'm thinking that pouring Dominion 2L into the crack where the driveway joins with the garage would be effective. Will this work?

Answer:

When placing the bait stations, a professional company would typically start at one corner and then continue placing them every 10 feet apart until they get back to where they started.  This being said, of course it is not a problem to have them closer together.  Most of our customers place them closer together around the front door and back patios (one on either side of front porch and patio if less than 10 feet) and on corners of the house where downspouts are it is better to have them closer together.  You can also pour dominion 2L in the cracks to help protect those areas.
