The Koppert Biopar Parasitic Wasps (Muscidifurax raptorellus) 3.3 L provides an effective solution in controlling damaging flies due to animal manure. It contains parastic wasps with parasitized fly pupae. It targets a wide variety of flies such as biting stable flies, houseflies and the lesser houseflies. A female adult parasitic wasp works by parasitizing the fly pupa. For application, disseminate the material in heaps near areas where flies pupate. Remember to distribute it only on dry places or dry manure. Administer Biopar close to stable edges, concrete or in furrows. Once purchased, product comes in a 3.3 liter cardboard cylinder. It contains 150,000 parasitic wasps.

Muscidifurax raptorellus (parasitic wasp)
- Adults: minute 2 mm black wasp
- Other stages: develop inside host
When the adult parasitic wasp emerges (within 2-5 days after receipt of the product) from the pupal shells, they will start searching for fly pupae. After parasitism, wasps of the new generation can be expected in approximately 2-3 weeks.
Parasitic wasps are just one tool in an integrated program to control stable flies. In order to have a successful program it is necessary to practice good sanitation to eliminate conditions that are favorable breeding places for flies. Keep manure as dry as possible and avoid spilling water and food. Because wasps only parasitize fly pupae, measurements to eliminate adult flies are also recommended.
Efficacy reduces at low (under 15°C) or high temperatures (higher than 38°C).
