Liquid Fence Deer Rabbit Repellent Concentrate 113

Liquid Fence brand produces some of the best-selling and most effective animal repellent products on the market. The long lasting Liquid Fence Deer and Rabbit Repellent Concentrate provides an environmentally-safe, biodegradable solution that provides long lasting control of deer and rabbit problems. Unlike other deer and rabbit repellents, the rain-resistant product works by creating a scent that keeps the pests from even touching your lawn, making rotating repellents a thing of the past. The Deer and Rabbit Repellent Concentrate 40 oz. makes 5 gallons of finished solution and covers 6,000 square feet. Liquid Fence Deer and Rabbit Repellent works year-round and can be safely used on edible crops and around gardens, flowers, people and pets with no harm to wildlife or vegetation.

HOW IT WORKS

Homeowners, gardeners, professional landscapes and commercial growers have discovered Liquid Fence Deer & Rabbit Repellent Concentrate, stops deer and rabbit damage. Unlike other deer and rabbit repellents that require the animals to browse to be effective, Liquid Fence Deer & Rabbit Repellent Concentrate works on scent, so deer and rabbits don't even have to take a bite to be repelled. Because the animals natural aversions to this scent will never diminish, this product DOES NOT have to be rotated with other repellent brands.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

SHAKE WELL before each use. Add 12.8 fl oz of Liquid Fence Deer & Rabbit Repellent Concentrate for each gallon of water and thoroughly mix. With garden sprayer or sprinkler, apply liberally to plants and their perimeter during a dry period. Repeat process one week later and then approximately once per month thereafter. Areas where feeding pressure from deer and rabbits is intense, spray once a week for three weeks and then approximately once per month thereafter. Please note: when using this product you may notice an odor. However, once it dries, the odor will not be noticeable to humans, but still very noticeable to animals.

This stuff works best on Deer . Rabbits won't come close either the day you spray but after two or three days the rabbits were back. Deer will come no closer than a 150ft. after a week or two. this is better than trying to put up a fence.

5 of 5 stars  how to keep your hostas and bushes safe
By Michael in Crestwood KY on 05/02/2013
    Verified Purchase

This stuff works fantastically! I start as soon as my hostas start out of the ground, using a quart sprayer, just a little spritz. Then once a week a little dab on the emerging foliage. When most of the plants are approaching maturity, I mix up 2 gallons and go to work. Pretty much saturate all of my plants. Once I do this step, forget about the deer. They practically do a back flip to get out of my yard. I go in a couple of months later, and give them another good dose. After that, I will dose if I see any browsing. End of season, after leaves are shed, I give the bushes susceptible to browsing another dose to stop any winter browse. Stinks like sin for a couple of days, small price to pay for the protection I get.

1 of 5 stars  Doesn't work for keeping rabbits out of boundary area
By Leeann in Neenah, WI on 10/01/2012

I laid down a wide boundary area around my yard, to keep the rabbits out, since my dogs eat their droppings. It didn't work whatsoever because the day after, there were still LOTS of new areas of droppings inside the boundary area.

3 of 5 stars  Doesn't make as much as ad states
By Lynette in Douglasville on 05/02/2016
    Verified Purchase

Just received this and the ad states it will make 5 gallons and cover 10,000 sq ft, but the 40oz container says it will cover 6,000sq ft. Using 12.8 oz per gallon of water will not make 5 gallons. Have not used this yet so don't know if it works but will try it. Just be aware you are not getting as much as you think you are.

5 of 5 stars  Liquid Fence Deer Rabbit Repellent
By Marilyn in San Tan Valley, AZ 85140 on 10/09/2015

I do not have deer but I really have rabbits. I was told by the nursery man that rabbits do not like Lantana. This is what the rabbits go for. The spray seems to keep the rabbits away, but when they get used to it, I have to respray. This is some of the best I have used and have told my neighbors about it also.

My wife swears by this stuff. Applies about every 3 to 4 weeks and it works pretty well on most of our stuff. We have several flower gardens and live in the middle of 70 acres that is full of deer.

If used as directed this product keeps the deer away. It is the only product I have found that actually keeps deer and rabbits from eating my garden and my wife's flowers and plants. I highly recommend it. I have been using it for years.

5 of 5 stars  Excellent 100% when used religiously
By Rhalec in Maryland on 05/02/2013

Our deer population is overwhelming! I have used this product for years on azaleas, hostas, and daylillies, and it has been essentially 100% effective against deer when applied every 2-3 weeks. I use it directly on the plants I wish to protect, rather than as a general barrier.

5 of 5 stars  ACTUALLY WORKS!
By Georgia in Andover Minnesota on 07/02/2016
    Verified Purchase

The first time I used this it rained shortly after so I don't know how effective it was. about 2 weeks ago I saw some rabbits circling my fenced in garden, and getting in. After securing the fence I sprayed this all around the border of the fence, and on some of the plants that were outside of the fence and waited, not long. About 5 minutes later two rabbits came back to circle the fence. One took off before it even within 5 feet of where I sprayed outside of the actual fence. The other one nibbled on a leaf, and then took off quite quickly! I haven't noticed any deer activity yet, either!

By Wanda in Gainesville, Ga on 07/19/2016

Product did just what it was suppose to do. I sprayed it all around my tomato plants. The deer have stayed away. The problem with the deer eating the tomatoes has gone away, thanks to this product.

  • 1 of 5 stars  Didn't repel rabbits
By Todds in Houston, Texas on 07/02/2017

Unfortunately, this product didn't preform as advertised. The putrid smell kept me and my family out of the years, but had little to no affect on the rabbits. I was also disappointed that you needed to use almost 20 ounces of product for a 1 1/2 gallon sprayer. DMO Pest Control typically has very good products, but this one did not meet my expectations.

Was skeptical at first. Sprayed every week for the first month and now once a month or after a big rain. This product works wonders and will keep using as I plant new flowers.

QWhat are some proven methods for stopping rabbits from digging holes in my yard?
Aside from shooting them. I think the police would frown upon me shooting them with a pellet gun seeing as I live in a residential area.

ARabbits can be hard to control because they reproduce quickly and stay hidden much of the time. Trapping and removing rabbits from your property is the only sure way to stop them from digging holes in the yard (at least the only sure way that won't involve the police showing up on your door step). There are several baits that work well to lure rabbits into rabbit traps. Brussels sprouts, carrots, lettuce, or apples would all be good choices. Some trappers even swear by spraying the inside of the trap with apple cider to help lure the rabbits in. You should check with local authorities to see if you can release the animals in a new location or if they must be destroyed. Another option would be to try a rabbit repellent such as Liquid Fence for Rabbits or PredaScent for Rabbits. Repellents, depending on the brand would need to be applied every 1-4 weeks to help keep the rabbits from coming into the treated areas.

QShould Liquid Fence be applied to the whole area or around the perimeter?

A

Liquid Fence products should be applied around the perimeter of the areas you want to protect, like a fence.

How to use: Apply Liquid Fence Deer and Rabbit liberally to plants and their perimeter during a dry period. Repeat process 1 week later and then approximately once per month thereafter. Areas where feeding pressure from deer and rabbits is intense, spray Liquid Fence Deer & Rabbit Repellent once a week for 3 weeks and then approximately once per month thereafter.

We have a lot of rain between dry spell so I may have to spray more often doing the week.

A

Liquid Fence Deer Rabbit Repellent Concentrate 113†is labeled to be applied once a week at first and then once a month. †It is rain resistant so should not need to be applied more often than that.

QSo you spray liquid fence "on" your flowers and plants, or just "around" them?

AAccording to the Liquid Fence Deer Rabbit Repellent product label: Apply Liquid Fence Deer and Rabbit RTU liberally to plants and their perimeter during a dry period. Repeat process 1 week later and then approximately once per month thereafter. Areas where feeding pressure from deer and rabbits is intense, spray Liquid Fence Deer & Rabbit Repellent once a week for 3 weeks and then approximately once per month thereafter. We do recommend that you avoid spraying blooms directly as blooms are delicate and could bruise.

QWhat do I use to spray Liquid Fence Deer Rabbit Repellent Concentrate?
if i purchase the liquid fence what do i use to spray it? i have a large yard and lots of plants to spray...i need the easiest and most effective way to spray. would it make sense to spray the mulch before plants come up?

A

We would recommend using a pump sprayer to apply Liquid Fence Deer Rabbit Repellent Concentrate. You will mix 8 fl. oz. of product per gallon of water. After your first application, you will do a second application a week later. The next application will be in one month.
