Onslaught will only kill the leaf cutter ants that come incontact with the treated areas. Leaf cutter ants can have very large colonies, making it difficult to eliminate. We recommend using Maxforce Complete Granular Bait. Maxforce Complete contains hydramethylnon which is effective, though they will usually eliminate only about 30% of a large colony in one treatment and will need to be reapplied several times. Deltagard granules would also be a recommended product. The product label recommends treating the mound directly and lightly watering the granules in.
