How To Use:
- Remove black rubber cap from top of the bellows. Fill the duster only halfway with dust. This will allow for enough air space to create the desired air/dust mixture before application. If there is too much dust in the duster, clumps of dust on treated surfaces may result, leading to over application of the product and messy spills.
- Between each squeeze, shake the duster gently to get dust floating inside the bellow.
- When applying dust into cracks and crevices and on surfaces, gently squeeze the duster to ensure the application of very thin layers of dust. When dusting correctly, you should barely be able to see the dust emerging from the tip of the duster.
- Pull the duster away from the surface or crack you are treating to prevent sucking up lint, moisture or debris before relaxing grip on the duster. Small amounts of these items will eventually cause clogging of the duster. If the nozzle becomes clogged, unscrew the rod from the rear of the nozzle and insert it into the nozzle to break up any clogs.
- The correct way to use the duster is upside down (with the bellows facing downward). Place coins or small pebbles in your duster to keep the dust agitated and ensure than any clumps are broken up prior to application.
- Carry a small brush and a damp cloth to use in the event that dust accidentally drifts out of cracks and crevices and onto non-target areas. Use the brush to push excess dust into cracks, and use the cloth to wipe up.

Should have bought one of these long ago
By Warren in Heath, TX on 07/10/2015
This is a great tool for dusting for insects. My prior approach was a tube that I used with an air compressor to shoot powder into a drilled hole. This is much easier to use and control the spray. I have used it on carpenter ants and yellow jackets, both building nests in my house. I still have to drill the holes where I find evidence of pests but then this duster has effectively killed them. I have also used the duster to powder some ant trails outside of the house.

Bought it to deal with bees in the eves over a bay window after continual spraying did nothing. 3 puffs of 1% dust from this thing and no more bees. I had to have a professional do this a couple yrs back, and he charged me 100 bucks. I just copied what he did and saved $50 already.

This product would be better without the bend, but at least make the bend point down as we know you're supposed to hold it upside down then the dust could shoot up into crevices.

Bought this for use with Tempo 1% Dust on Yellow Jackets but probably could have just puffed the dust into the wall cavity with Temp container.
Getting rid of yellow jacket nest
By Moira in Westerville on 09/20/2016
I purchased this in conjunction with the Tempo 1% powder. This device allowed me to penetrate into a deep nest in our eaves. These critters are resourceful and know how to get out of range but this allowed me to get the powder deep into the eave and kill the nest completely. Well worth having this resource to administer the powder successfully.

Worked great! Used on eve of house for bees.
By Scott in Rockwell, NC on 07/05/2016
Had to get this and the Tempo 1% Dust to get rid of honey bees. Tried for 2 months to get someone to remove them and all efforts failed. Received on a Friday and used that night. Bees built nest in brick porch with no access. But was able to spray the dust in areas I could get to. It worked!! Sprayed more on Sunday night just to make sure they were gone. Have not seen any flying around, only new dead bees.

Good duster except for one thing.
By Michael in Mansfield, OH on 06/23/2016
This is my 3rd or 4th one. I use them daily in my job. It's a decent duster except for the rubber stopper that covers the filling opening. Every one I have had has the same problem. The stopper doesn't fit very well. It will fall out if you don't have your finger on it and then you have a mess to clean up. One other thing that would make it a better duster is the curved tip. If it was straight it would work much better.

QHow far vertically will the long shot puffer dust?
I'm trying to dust inside of 12 ft column.
A This duster is designed to treat cracks and crevices or voids where you place the tip of the duster, so it will only travel a few inches from the tip. For larger voids, the B&G Mini Dust-R 1151M has a larger capacity and will push dust about 36 inches from the tip: http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/bg-mini-dustr-1151m-p-378.html. There is also a 2 quart version of this duster, the B&G 1152-A, which is frequently used to treat attics and crawl spaces: http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/bg-quart-duster-1152a-p-319.html. Both of these pump dusters come with extension tips that would still allow you to dust through a small opening. Pump dusters also add a static charge to the dust, helping it to cling to surfaces. If you have a tall vertical void to treat, you could also drill high in the column and let gravity carry the dust down. For more detailed instructions, you may also call our customer service at 866-581-7378 M-F 9a-5p EST, so that we may address your specific situation.

QIs the Long shot Puffer duster hard to use?
I have a small hand. Is this easy to use? Is it heavy?

QDoes the tip of the Long Shot Puffer Duster rotate?
So the dust can be applied upwards
QIs this Long Shot Puffer Duster appropriate for bed bug powder applications?
Kanine inspection detected bed bugs in only one place at the start, Aug. 30, in one bedroom. Total of 1 live b. bug found in first visual inspection on Sept.6, no other signs..eggs, etc. I had professional treatment on Sept. 9, found 2 dead bugs, plus a follow up on Sept. 23. found 2 dead bugs same place. This is a 2 bedroom apartment - total 660 sq. feet. No bites on us at all. Six days after follow up saw 1 live bed bug 3 feet from bedroom door in hallway, on a damp towel draped over a hamper. Did not see anything after that. Am terrified of infestation. Would like to apply, by myself, bb killer dust, as one precaution. Bought 'bb and crawling insect killer dust'. Is this puffer appropriate to use for dusting under baseboards, cracks in wood floor, etc. No carpets in apartment. Thank you.
