5 of 5 stars  VIPER inside insect spray really works
By Sharon in Tucson, AZ on 03/06/2014

We have used this Viper insect spray for many years and it is GREAT. We ordered it from DO My OWN PEST CONTROL because of the savings. We got more product for the cost. We willl continue to order online, not at our local dealer. The 16 oz that was purchased saved me 4 times on what I spend locally.

By Andy in Zachary LA on 01/03/2015

I bought this concentrate last month. So far, no bugs except for a couple of dead spiders. It does have a small odor so spray (inside) when you're leaving your house for a while. Odor does not last long.

5 of 5 stars  It Works
By Jean in Washington Park, IL on 10/02/2015

We noticed a few roaches in early spring so we went to Lowes and purchased the Black Flag Fogger 6 per box. Over the summer months the roaches grew…I did not realize that they were immune to certain products. I surfed the web and found Do My Own Pest Control.com; found Martins Viper Insecticide Concentrate had a five star rating. I tried it. It works!

5 of 5 stars  Outstanding Product
By Gwen in Orange County, NY on 03/08/2014

While living in Ohio, I had a major spider problem in my basement, which was slowly going into the rest of the house. An exterminator recommended this product. The concentrate lasts a long time producing 2 to 3 one gallon spray bottles. Once applied, continues killing pests for weeks. Unfortunately, I'm now in NY, where Viper is not permitted. Not sure I'll find another product as good as Martin's Viper.

Very easy to apply. Instructions explicit on what will kill. Odor is not overly powerful and is almost not noticeable within 24 hours. Best yet, it is killing those little creepy crawlies and keeping more away.

By Linda in GA on 07/10/2017

We couldn't enjoy our deck due to the cock roaches running everywhere. They have not been as bad in previous years as they are this year. Since we sprayed around the house and deck they have disappeared. That is with just one spaying. Great great stuff!!

5 of 5 stars  Effective and Good Value
By Ed in Katy, Texas on 04/18/2017

Just completing my first year's use of Martins Viper Insect Concentrate. I use 2-1/2 gallons (3 oz of concentrate) to generously spray the perimeter of my home every three months. No spiders and no insects inside the home. Could not make this statement during the prior 3 years of commercial insect control. And, at $75 per commercial spray application, I'm saving about $275/yr for a total of 2 hours work. What's not to love?

By Howard in Opelousas, Louisiana on 04/10/2017

A friend of mine told me about your product. I used it and the affect it had on the insects in the age old house that I live in produced more than I expected. I may see 1 - 2 roaches every 3 - 6 mos., but they appear flat on their backs. I have since purchased your product.

QIs Martins Viper Insecticide Concentrate safe for indoor cats? How long will leftover product stay effective?
I have an indoor cat, is Viper safe to use inside my house? Also, if I purchased a larger bottle and do not use all of it this summer, how long will the unused/unmixed portion be effective in its original bottle?

AMartins Viper Insecticide Concentrate should be applied when your cat is not in the area during the treatment until all treated surfaces are completley dried. The mixed solution should be used within 24 hours of mixing. The shelf life of the container is 3 years from the date of purchase if stored away from extreme temperatures.

QI sprayed my yard and house 4 hours ago with Martins Viper Insecticide Concentrate, and then my dog ate some grass. Is that safe?

A

As long as the application area of Martins Viper Insecticide Concentrate was dry it will be safe.  The small amount of active ingredient left on the grass after the product has dried is only enough to harm insects when applied as directed on the product label.

QWill Martins Viper Insecticide Concentrate kill fire ants?

A

Martins Viper Insecticide Concentrate is labeled for ants, but not fire ants specifically. When treating for fire ants we would recommend a product like Martins Surrender Fire Ant Killer instead which you use to treat the individual mounds themselves. If you need a product that you can broadcast over a large area we would recommend the Extinguish Plus Fire Ant Bait.

QDoes Martins Viper Insecticide Concentrate work instantly, or do insects take it back to their nest?
I used Viper and an IGR in a 1 gal sprayer and I'm not seeing as many, but I am still seeing some. I was wondering if this kills on contact or if they take it to the nest.

A

The cypermethrin active ingredient in Martins Viper Insecticide Concentrate is picked up in the residual, and carried back to the nest. It works by affecting the pests' central nervous system.

QHow often do I need to spray Martins Viper Insecticide Concentrate to kill mud daubers and when?

A

Martins Viper Insecticide Concentrate is not labeled to treat mud daubers. Talstar P will kill mud daubers that come into contact with treated areas for a sufficient amount of time to receive a lethal dose. You will need to dilute 1 fl oz of Talstar P per gallon of water and broadcast spray over the areas where you have noticed activity. Most folks notice only very limited results from broadcast sprays of insecticides for cicada killers because they don't land and walk around for a long enough time before entering their underground burrow. For a more direct treatment, you can use Delta dust in each individual burrow. You may also want to consider our Wasp and Hornet Control Products.
