Maxforce Fine Granular Insect Bait

Maxforce Fine Granular Insect Bait is another professional-quality roach bait product with the same dynamite results you’ve come to expect from America’s most popular and trusted brand of pesticides. With the same signature odor-free formula as Maxforce larger granular insect baits, Maxforce Fine Granular Insect Bait is the perfect size for smaller protein-feeding ants such as Pharaoh and Argentine Ants, which may be too small to pick up the larger granules. The active ingredient, hydramethylnon, has a delayed-action property which allows insects to make several trips back to where they live and breed before they die, spreading the effects of the poison throughout the entire colony or harborage. For indoor use, apply up to one tablespoon of bait per crack, crevice, or other area where insects may hid or live. Remove or wipe away any loose granules. For outdoor use, sprinkle product evenly over problem areas. This product may also be used in bait stations, at 1 to 3 oz. per station.

Maxforce Granular Insect Bait contains a unique delayed-action ingredient, Hydramethylnon, which enables one contaminated insect to return to the harborage where it lives and breeds to first contaminate as many other insects as possible. A foraging roach that happens across the poison will receive a lethal dose, but live long enough to return to the harborage where its poisoned feces and carcass are consumed by other roaches. Similarly, a contaminated ant spreads the poison to other ants through contact and bait sharing. Each of these newly contaminated insects then proceeds to contaminate several others, and so on, until the entire colony is eliminated.

Maxforce Fine Granular Insect Bait may may be used practically anywhere ants, roaches, and crickets are a problem: Indoors and outdoors and around buildings, on lawns and other non-crop areas such as residential areas, the non-food/ non-feed areas of institutional and commercial establishments including warehouses, restaurants, food-processing plants, hotels, motels, supermarkets, hospitals, nursing homes, apartment buildings, schools, laboratories, computer facilities, pets shops, zoos, sewers, highway right-of-ways and medians, traffic islands, utility right-of-ways, amusement parks, picnic areas, recreation areas, office parks, industrial grounds, airports, shopping centers, public gardens, monument sites, cemeteries, golf courses, race tracks, fairgrounds, outdoor ampi-theatres and sod farms.

5 of 5 stars  Nothing else worked like this
    By B.l. on 09/16/2008

The ants seem to be gone with Maxforce Fine Granular Insect Bait.  Nothing else worked with the Argentine ants, so we are quite grateful for the product.

5 of 5 stars  Maxforce is Great
By Laverta in Riverside, California on 05/24/2009

Where we live there are so many billions of ants that the UCR Agriculture Department calls our area the "ant hill". I used Maxforce Fine Granular insect bait and it works fabulously. LP

5 of 5 stars  Extremely effective
By Tony in Merritt Island, FL on 06/03/2010

After four visits from a well known national pest control firm, we had no relief from a variety of ever invading ants. They were everywhere. My local outlet for this product gave me directions for the most effective application. I followed his suggestions and after two days we didn't see another ant, and it has been at least a year. Needless to say, I fired the pest control firm, and almost unbelievably, I have about a half a container remaining for retreatment if necessary. Our house and garage is a little under 3,000 square feet. Derek at my supplier emphasized perimeter control and less-is-more. It is a great product, and the dispensing advice made the difference. A light sprinkling around the entire perimeter, a small amount in the driveway cracks, anywhere there is a hill, and visible points of entry.

5 of 5 stars  Maxforce Works Great!
By Tom in Chandler, AZ on 11/09/2010

Maxforce Fine Granular Insect Bait is easy to apply and works great! We had a huge ant infestation throughout our Arizona yard, and now they are GONE! We tried several products from the big box home centers, but this is the only product that got the job done. I like the shaker applicator too -- no more endless squeezing of the spray trigger.

4 of 5 stars  No more ants!
By Tim in Lansing, MI on 08/04/2010

We used Maxforce at the suggestion of an exterminator friend of mine. We had two different kinds of ants just about everywhere in our house. They took over the dog's food, kitchen cupboards, carpets, they even showed up in the second story of our house. I poured these "fine" granules around the outside of our foundation, we have not seen an ant since! We had pavement ants and another very small ant about 1/16 of an inch long. This was the second summer we had suffered with this problem so this was worth every penny of the $16.50 we spent.

5 of 5 stars  Arizona Ants, etc.
By Cindy in Mesa, AZ on 07/29/2010

Works great. Thousands of little black ants were laughing at me thinking they could house under the indoor/outdoor carpeting I placed under my rubber pool. Well, they laugh no more with this product! A light sprinkle and under 24hrs - they were gone!

I get small ants every year about this time. I went to the local hardware store and bought what they had for killing small ant. This was a spray, next day, ants were walking around like nothing happened. With Maxforce, next day they were gone. That was over 2 weeks ago and I still haven't seen one ant.

5 of 5 stars  Excellent Product
By in Bronx, NY on 06/14/2013

This product is EXCELLENT!!!! I think it's a shame the manufacturer discontinues such an excellent product and then tries to pass off "MAXFORCE COMPLETE GRANULAR BAIT, same bottle, but BLUE LABEL with the word complete added". Maxforce use to be available in New York in any local hardware store. It works so well, one bottle lasts me about 3 years. Not one roach. I clean up old granular and put down a fresh batch every 10 months or so. When removed from the shelves I turned to this company but they won't ship this to New York. I tried the "Maxforce Complete" version, Blue label, there is NO COMPARISON!

QWhat product would work best to kill roaches in a mobile home?

AWe recommend using three products to get rid of roaches. A roach bait gel, an IGR (insect growth regulator), and a residual insecticide. We offer all three products in the Roach Control Kit 2. This professional kit includes 1 packet of Demon WP Insecticide (which makes 4 gallons of finished solution) for spraying the outside perimeter of the home and inside underneath appliances, behind cabinets, under toilets and sinks, etc. You'll also get 4 x 30 gram tubes of Advion Roach Bait Gel--one of the best roach baits on the market. Advion can be applied up high in the kitchen in the corner of cabinets and in cracks and crevices in kitchens and bathrooms. The bait contains a slow-acting poison that attracts and kills feeding roaches, who also spread the bait to other roaches by contact or by sharing food. Finally, 20 Gentrol Point Source stations provide an IGR (Insect Growth Regulator) that will stop roaches from laying eggs, helping to halt the infestation. The combination of an IGR with roach bait is a highly effective roach control strategy that is widely used by pest control professionals. Demon WP must be applied with a 1 gallon pump sprayer.

QWill this product 'Maxforce Fine Granular Insect Bait' harm household plants when sprinkled on the top soil ?
I think this is where the 'fruit flies' or 'plant gnats' are living .

AMaxforce fine granular bait will not harm household plants.  However, Maxforce fine granular insect bait is not labeled for fungus gnats and would not be the right product to use.  Fungus gnats from plants usually occur when the plant soil remains too wet.  You should take the potted plants outside to dry the soil a little bit and spray the top soil with our popular Talstar liquid insecticide.  Talstar is labeled for lawn and ornamentals and will not harm the plants.

QWill MaxForce Insect Granules be a threat to the bullfrog in our backyard pond?
Our yard is filled with American Cockroaches. I'm concerned about the frog if she consumes the affected roaches.

AThe Maxforce Fine Granular Insect Bait granules are so small and only strong enough to kill small insects that it should pose no threat to the frogs in your yard.  Also, dead roaches would be more of a food source for ants and other foraging insects.  Most of the time frogs go after live insects that are moving and cater to their hunting habits.
