The Monterey B.T. Ready-to-Spray Insecticide is a biological insecticide that effectively controls caterpillars and worms on vegetables, fruits, ornamental and shade trees. This is applied when known pests are first noticed and should be applied frequently to control heavy infestations. The product can control and eliminate worms and caterpillars on contact. The pests will immediately stop feeding on, and destroying plants that are treated with the insecticide spray. The spray can be used on leaf surfaces, top and bottom of plants and flowers. This insecticide spray is effective in controlling and eliminating cabbage looper, hornworms, armyworms, bagworm, tent caterpillar, fall webworm, elm spanworm and more. The product is available in a 1-quart (32 oz.) ready-to-spray container.

Always shake product thoroughly before use.
Fruits and Vegetables: Spray all plant foliage. Apply at first sign of infestation and repeat at weekly intervals when needed to insecats in the ruit and vegetable garden:
Cabbage looper, Armyworms, Hornworms and other lepidopteran (moth) pests on brocolli, cauliflower, collards, kale, mustard greens, trunip greens, cabbage, celery, lettuce, melons and tomatoes.
Shade Trees and Ornamentals In and around the home: Spray at first sign of infestation and repeat at weekely intervals when needed to maintain control. Apply to thoroughly cover all foliage surfaces of shade trees and ornamentals for control of the following leaf-feeding worms:
Bagworm, Fall Cankerworm, Tent Caterpillar, Fall Webworm, Spring Cankerworm, Gypsy Moth, Elm Spanworm.
Note: Apply when buds swell, but before leaves are fully open. If eggs hatch over a long period of time or if reinfestation occures, spray about 14 days after first appearance.

This is the first year I ever had to deal with tent caterpillars and it was shocking how many there were in my fruit trees. I called up DoMyOwn who recommended this Monterery BT spray. I have several beehives so it was important that whatever I used, it be safe for bees. I gave the trees a good spray and saw very positive results the next day. Now the caterpillars are gone and the trees are regaining their health. The key is to interrupt to catch the caterpillars when you first see them, when they are small. I'm so glad I found DoYourOwn.

Monterey B.t. Ready-to-Spray Insecticide should be applied in calm weather when rain is not predicted for the next 24 hours will help to ensure that wind or rain does not blow or wash pesticide off the treatment area. They are most active on turf early in the morning or late afternoon/early evening, but they may feed any time of the day.

(Once opened, & mixed with the water, does it need to be used up in one dose)
Monterey B.T.Ready-to-Spray Insecticide comes Ready To Spray and so there would be no need apply with another sprayer or mix with water. The nozzle on the spray is calibrated to the right application ratio, just hook it up to your hose and you are ready to spray. If you purchased the concentrate and are mixing it yourself, you need to use what you mix within 24 hours, and store the unused portion in a temperature-stable environment.

Monterey B.t. Ready-to-Spray Insecticide is applied at a rate of 32 oz per 3000 sq ft. So if you are wanting to apply to all 25 trees you will need at least 8 bottles (possibly more or less) as one bottle should approximately cover 3-4 trees. We would recommend getting 1 or 2 bottles first and seeing how far it goes then moving forward from there.
