Monterey B.t. RTU is a biological insecticide that controls worms and caterpillars on many fruits and vegetables, ornamental plants and trees. MONTEREY B.t. RTU kills caterpillar stage insects and worms, but does not hurt or effect earthworms, birds, or beneficial insects such as ladybugs and honeybees, when applied as directed. Caterpillars and worms eat treated foliage, then instantly stop eating and damaging the plants. It is for organic gardening and ORMI Listed so it is acceptable for use on edible plants up to the day of harvest.

Apply MONTEREY B.t. RTU when worms or caterpillars are first noticed, then repeat at five (5) to seven (7) day intervals while they are active. Apply more frequently to control heavy infestations. Apply thoroughly to top and bottom of foliage. Reapply after heavy rains.
MONTEREY B.t. RTU must be eaten by worms or caterpillars to be effective. After ingesting the insecticide, they immediately stop feeding, though they may otherwise appear to be unaffected for several days. Best results are obtained by treatments when worms are small; they must be actively feeding on treated, exposed foliage. You may apply MONTEREY B.t. RTU up to and on the day of harvest.

Monterey. B.t. RTU
By Carol in Groveland fl on 08/30/2015
We had tried many products to kill the caterpillars on our bougainvillea but to no avail. This product worked beautifully. It killed all the caterpillars the first time we used it. We give it a five star.

QCan Monterey B.t. RTU be used on my Meyer Lemon Tree for worm/caterpillar infestation?
A Monterey B.t. RTU is not labeled for citrus fruit, including lemons. We would recommend using Natural Guard Spinosad Landscape and Garden Insecticide instead. It is labeled for use on lemons and will kill caterpillars on the tree. One bottle will treat approximately 5300 square feet.
