DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

MIXING, ADDITIVE and APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

MIXING FOR HAND-HELD SPRAYERS

Prepare the desired volume of spray solution by mixing the amount of REMUDA FULL STRENGTH in water as shown in the table on the label. (Please see label)

2 Tablespoons = 1 Fluid Ounce

For use in knapsack sprayers, it is suggested that the recommended amount of this product be mixed with water in a larger container. Fill sprayer with the mixed solution.

ADDITIVE:

Surfactants: Nonionic surfactants which are labeled for use with herbicides may be used. Do not reduce rates of this product when adding surfactant. When adding additional surfactants follow manufacturers rates and recommendations for use of the surfactant. Read and carefully observe surfactant cautionary statements and other information appearing on the surfactant label.

Hand Held Equipment: Use Coarse Sprays Only.

Mix REMUDA FULL STRENGTH in clean water and apply to foliage of vegetation to be controlled. For applications made on a spray-to-wet basis, spray coverage should be uniform and complete. Do spray to the point of runoff.

For control of annual weeds listed on this label, apply a 0.5% solution of REMUDA FULL STRENGTH to weeds less than 6 inches in height or runner length. Apply prior to seedhead formation in grass or bud formation in broadleaf weeds.

For annual weeds over 6 inches tall, or when not using additional surfactant, or unless otherwise specified, use a 1% solution. For best results, use a 2% solution on harder-to-control perennials, such as Bermudagrass, Dock, Field bindweed, Hemp dogbane, Milkweed and Canada thistle.

When using application methods which result in less than complete coverage, use a 5% solution for annual and perennial weeds.

WEEDS CONTROLLED

REMUDA FULL STRENGTH controls many annual and perennial grasses and broadleaf weeds, such as:

ANNUAL WEEDS:

Balsamapple, Panicum, Bassia (fivehook), Ragweed (common), Brome, Ragweed (giant), Fiddleneck, Smartweed (Pennsylvania), Fleabane (hairy), Sowthistle (annual), Fleabane, Sunflower, Kochia, Thistle (Russian), Lettuce (prickly), Velvetleaf.

Apply to actively growing grass and broadleaf weeds. Allow at least 3 days after treatment before tillage. For maximum benefit, apply when weeds are 6 inches or less in height. To prevent seed production, applications should be made prior to seedhead formation. REMUDA FULL STRENGTH does not provide residual control; therefore, delay application until maximum weed emergence. Repeat treatments may be necessary to control later germinating weeds.

Extreme care must be exercised to avoid contact of spray with foliage, green stems, exposed non-woody roots, desirable turfgrasses, trees, shrubs or other desirable vegetation since severe damage or destruction may result.

PERENNIAL WEEDS

When applied as recommended under the conditions described, REMUDA FULL STRENGTH will control the following perennial weeds:

Alligatorweed*; Anise (fennel); Brackenfern; Guineagrass; Ice plant; Johnsongrass; Lantana; Nutsedge, purple, yellow; Pampasgrass; Phragmites*; Poison hemlock; Reed, giant; Ryegrass, perennial; Starthistle, yellow; Sweet potato, wild*; Thistle, artichoke.

* Partial control

PERENNIAL WEEDS RATE TABLE

Apply to actively growing perennial weeds. Apply when actively growing and most have reached early head or early bud stage of growth. (See label for table of complete list)

Extreme care must be exercised to avoid contact of spray with foliage, green stems, exposed non-woody roots, desirable turfgrasses, trees, shrubs or other desirable vegetation since severe damage or destruction may result.

REMUDA FULL STRENGTH does not provide residual weed control.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

What is Remuda Full Strength?

Remuda is a 41% concentrate of glyphosate herbicide the same active ingredient as Roundup. It is a non-selective systemic material that controls both broadleaf weeds and grasses. Remuda is systemic so it goes through the leaves to kill the underground roots.

Which weeds does Remuda control?

Most all green tissue is affected. Therefore do not get it on desired plants or they will be killed. Remuda does not provide good control of nutgrass, malva (cheese weed) and ivy.

How does Remuda work?

Remuda must be absorbed into the plant to control it. Generally, it takes about 4 days on young annuals and 7 days or more on perennial plants/weeds. The warmer the temperature, the faster Remuda works.

Should a surfactant be added in the tank mix?

No. Remuda already contains a surfactant.

How much time is recommended between application and rainfall or irrigation?

Give it at least 6 hours to become rain fast.

Does Remuda have residual control?

No. It controls through the plant foliage; It has no soil activity, so controlling weeds that germinate after the application will require another treatment.

What rate do I apply Remuda?

Remuda does have the best rate range of any glyphosate product on the market. Spray to cover the weeds thoroughly.

For young annual weeds - 2 Tbsp per gal. of water

For general weed control - 5 Tbsp per gal. of water

For hard to kill weeds such as perennials, trees, and bushes - 26 Tbsp per gal. of water

When can I plant seeds after a Remuda application?

We recommend a 7 day interval between treatment and seeding.

What precautions should I observe?

Do not spray when the wind is blowing, and keep animals away from treated area until the spray has dried on the plant.

Accidental application to desired plants should be avoided, as it can injure or kill them.
