When using the Mosquito Control Kit- Heavy Population, Talstar P and Tekko Pro Insect Growth Regulator can be mixed together in the same tank. Both Talstar P and Tekko Pro should be diluted at 1 oz. of concentrate per gallon of water per 1,000 square feet of area to be treated.

The products can be reapplied monthly to listed exterior areas for mosquito control. You will want to spray on the undersides of the leaves especially.

BTI Mosquito Dunks can be used in fish habitats as long as it is containerized water (not for use in natural bodies of water). One briquet will treat 100 sq ft of water. Talstar P, like most insecticides, will be harmful to fish if it gets into the pond. According to the Talstar product label: "This pesticide is extremely toxic to fish and aquatic invertebrates. Do not apply directly to water, to areas where surface water is present or to intertidal areas below the mean high water mark. Drift and run-off from treated areas may be hazardous to aquatic organisms in neighboring areas. Do not contaminate water when disposing of equipment washwaters. Care should be used when spraying to avoid fish and reptile pets in/around ornamental ponds."
The concentrates in the Mosquito Control Kit - Heavy Population cannot be used in misting systems. They must be used within 24 hours of mixing so a backpack or other pump sprayer is best for application.
Mosquito Control Kit - Heavy Population would be safe on a property with a well as long as it is not applied over the well and applications are kept at least 15 feet away if there is a chance of runoff to the well.
The two concentrates in the Mosquito Control Kit-Heavy Population- Talstar P and Archer IGR- can be used in hand held pump sprayers like the Chapin Premier Sprayer, backpack sprayers like the Chapin Tree/Turf Pro Backpack sprayer, and in engine powered mist blowers like the Solo 451 Mist Blower. The concentrates in this kit however cannot be used in any form of ULV or Thermal fogging equipment.
