    What's the best mix ratio with all three chemicals. Talstar, exciter and archer.
    I have a few yards to spray. I want knock down power and I would like to know how many ounces per gallon if im mixing those three chemicals together.

    You should mix one ounce of each product to one gallon of water.

    Do I need to wear any kind of a respirator when spraying the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional?
    I have purchased these products from you and a backpack power mister/sprayer and have sprayed twice now and have noticed a huge improvement in the 3 yards I am spraying. Do I need to wear any kind of protective equipment since I will be spraying regularly?

    Yes, when using the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional in a Backpack Mister it is recommended to use protective equipment such as a long sleeve shirt, gloves, pants, boots and a light mask such as the N95 Valved Respirator Mask or even the Comfo Classic Respirator Mask.

    As long as you use the products according to the instructions on each label, and keep pets and kids out of the area both while you treat and until those surfaces have dried completely, then they will be safe.

    Can you mix the products inside of the Mosquito Control Kit with Mosquito Barrier?
    A

    Mosquito Barrier is a repellent and using them with the Mosquito Control Kit-Professional will be counterproductive. The product inside the kit are meant to kill mosquitoes, and the Mosquito Barrier will repel them from the area.

    How often during the season and what chemical do you have to treat a rural yard?
    I have a couple of acres with no standing water or running rivers or creeks nearby in northern Montana, but we do have an irrigated lawn covering about 20,000 sq ft. along with some shelter belts containing caragana. I'm looking for an effective control method for mosquitoes and biting flies. I am surrounded by open wheat fields and prairie and the nearest neighbor is 3 miles away.

    The products inside of the Mosquito Kit can be used every 30 days. Talstar P, Archer and Exciter can all be mixed in the same tank and sprayed together.

    Will the pesticides in the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional also take care of ticks?
    A

    Yes, you can use most  of the products in the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional for ticks as well.  The only exemption is the Altosid which is only for mosquitoes.

    What are the mixing rates for the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional products?
    A

    Both Talstar P and Tekko Pro are diluted at the rate of 1 oz. per gallon of water.  You will use 0.5 oz. of ExciteR per gallon of water.  You will use anywhere from ¼ tsp. to 1 cup of Altosid depending on the size of the body of water your are treating.  You can find complete application instructions on each each product label by clicking on the links below.

    Can I use a Vector Fogger with the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional?
    I need a quick knock for flies and mosquitoes. We have been using the misting pump sprayer with this kit for two months but we still have lots of mosquitoes and its late November in San Antonio TX. Haven't experienced the quick knock out this kit promises. We do not leave near a body of water.

    I live on 3 heavily wooded acres outside Chicago. Will the Mosquito Control Kit Professional work?
    I am going to need to invest in some sort of control. Permanent misting is too costly. Am looking at ULV treatment. Is there an advantage to thermal misting vs. blower? Is Talstar enough? Will likely be treating entire neighborhood but a larger unit doesn't get me the portability I need to go into the woods- thoughts? Initial budget ~$800...

    Talstar P is a very good product for mosquitoes. Using this product with a mister, such as the Solo 451 Mist Blower, is a good option if you are treating a lot of area. If you are wanting to kill the mosquitoes quickly, we would recommend using Talstar P in conjunction with something like ExciteR Insecticide. This is a synergist that will make the product work faster. You may also want to look into something like the Professional Mosquito Kit Ultimate. This kit contains everything you will need to ensure you are treating for mosquitoes effectively.

    The Mosquito Control Kit - Professional seems great but I am not sure why I would need all 4 products. Could you explain the process of how to properly use the 4 products together to controlled pests?
    A
    There are three concentrates with different active ingredients included in the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional. All of these concentrates must be diluted with water and applied with pressurized spray equipment. We recommend using Talstar P for most applications, adding Archer IGR for heavier populations, and diluting Harmonix with one or both of these solutions to include a faster initial cleanout of existing adult mosquitoes. Altosid is a ready-to-use granule that contains the insect growth regulator (IGR) Methoprene. Altosid is not a true larvicide, though it does prevent adult mosquito emergence. Granules will gradually sink in water and will release active ingredient continuously for up to 30 days. Please refer the links below for detailed application instructions on application.     Are any of the products in the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional harmful to bees?
    A

    The products in the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional are not really selective, so they could potentially harm bees if the bees were to come into contact with a treated area.  To minimize this risk, it is recommended to apply during the morning or evening when bees are least active, and avoid spraying any blooming/flowering plants.

    Can the products in the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional be sprayed on decks, fences, patio furniture, etc?
    A

     When spraying for insects you want  to concentrate on areas where you know they harbor. All of the products in the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional can be sprayed along decks, fences and be used as a perimeter spray around your home. Also spray entry points into the home such as around windows, pipes, doorways, etc. However, they are not labeled to be used on any type of furniture.

    How far from a 10 acre lake stocked with game fish do I need to be when applying any of the products in the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional?
    I do get run off into lake on a heavy rain.

    The products in the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional are toxic to fish and other aquatic life.  It is recommended to apply at least 25 ft. away from the lake to avoid any runoff or drift.  Apply at least 24 hours before you are expecting any rain.

    What is best combination for mosquito control with in backpack mister?
    A

    We would recommend our Mosquito Control Kit - Professional. The kit contains products with different active ingredients that target different stages of mosquito development for the most thorough population control.This kit contains two insecticide concentrates, an Insect Growth Regulator, as well as a larvicide so that you can treat both land and standing water. Exciter Insecticide contains natural pyrethrins and Piperonyl Butoxide for a quick knockdown of adult mosquitoes, while Talstar P offers residual protection on mosquito resting areas. Tekko Pro IGR prohibits the development of immature mosquitoes, and Altosid Pro-G is a larvicide to treat standing water or areas likely to flood. Apply spray solution to adult mosquito resting areas, including ornamental plants such as dense brush, tall grasses, and especially the undersides of leaves on trees and bushes. Also treat resting areas on structures such as under eaves or other overhangs, under decks and porches, and in other moist, shady areas where mosquitoes may rest or breed.

    Do you really need all 4 products in the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional?
    A

    Talstar P, Exciter and Tekko Pro IGR should be mixed together with water to offer residual control (4 weeks), quicker kill and growth regulation. If there is not any standing water in the area being treated,the Altosid in the kit would not be necessary.  Talstar P is used for residual control but does not offer a very quick kill so the Exciter will help with that. Both of those products do not control the insects reproductive cycle so impeding that with the Tekko Pro is helpful.     Does the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional require a surfactant?

    It is not required to use a surfactant with any of the products in the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional, but adding one may increase the effectiveness and help them stick to waxy leaves better.
