Product Overview

Mossy Oak BioLogic Maximum is made out of 100% New Zealand brassicas. They grow at different rates to make sure that forage is highly palatable for food plots to last for years. It will survive after the first frost in the winter and roots will allow sugars to transfer to the leaves. It will promote fast weight gain, great health and huge antler growth in deer. Maximum will provide 38% more digestible nutrients that native forages and other developed forages do not have. It is 80% digestible. 2.25 lbs will plant 1/4 acre. To be planted in the fall and will provide up to ten tons of forage per acre.

Primary Usage   Palatability increases as the plants mature. Best late season through the winter. However, may be consumed as fast as it grows.
Soil Type   Will grow in all soil types pending adequate soil moisture is available.
How to Plant   Maximum is best planted by spreading the seed on a well-prepared seedbed at nine (9) pounds per acre, and then using a cultipacker to cover the seed. Broadcasting the seed just prior to a rain also produces an excellent stand — the rain serves to bury the seed the appropriate depth (1/4 inch) and ensures adequate soil moisture for germination. Disking is not a recommended method of covering the seed — this would bury the seed too deep.
When to Plant   Maximum is very hardy and will germinate in drier conditions than other common fall food plot crops. However, some soil moisture is necessary, and is more critical than soil temperature. Ideally, plant Maximum at least 30 days before the first frost date, in any of the planting zones. Maximum can also be planted in the spring in northern climates – either frost-seeded or planted traditionally as soil temperatures stay consistently in the 50° or higher range.
