POTS and PLANTERS:
To repel squirrels from uprooting plants, spray your newly planted flowers with I Must Garden Squirrel Repellent. When you prepare nice fluffy soil in a planter or pot, a squirrel is simply looking for some tasty treasure that he thinks is buried there. In his search, he’ll dig up your nice young plants and cast them aside to wither and die. Spray your plants and pots before the squirrels discover them and save yourself time and frustration! Keep in mind, that it’s always easier to prevent an animal’s bad habit, than to break it.
Spray plants in flower beds on mulch to prevent squirrels from uprooting plants.
Spray the bark of trees to repel squirrels and keep them from chewing on bark and tender branches.
Thoroughly spray bulbs, let dry and then plant. Once planted, spray soil surface.
Generously spray hoses, outdoor furniture, pots, garbage cans, irrigation lines, etc to prevent destructive damage caused by squirrels.

I had endured the squirrels uprooting my container flowers on the deck for far too long. I bought this repellent being somewhat skeptical but I was absolutely amazed at how quickly and thoroughly it works. This is my second bottle. Very good stuff that works. Thank you.

Doesn't Work on Wooden Benches or Fences
By Ronp in Slidell, LA on 02/23/2015
Only 2 stars because it didn't work on what I thought were appropriate listed MISC items - a bench and deck fences. HOWEVER, I didn't try it on flowers or plants which might be OK.

Our Squirrels Weren't Deterred
By Ron in Slidell, LA on 02/21/2015
We sprayed this on our deck, benches, around planters, and on top of our cedar fence. It didn't repell the little critters. The manufacturer will honor their satisfaction guarantee.
By Margaret in Reston, VA on 06/26/2016
The smell bothered the squirrels for only a short period of time.

Qhow best to keep squirrels from eating, taking apples from apple tree
we have had an apple tree for 3 years and after apples begin growing they sort of disappear. we believe deer are not an issue, but squirrels picking the fruit. how best to prevent
AThe best way to try and control the squirrels is with trapping as repellents only work part of the time. You can look over our squirrel traps HERE.
