John from Bayonne, Nj writes

My neighbor has ground hornets. How can I kill them?

They are in my neighbors front yard. They fly to my tree in front of my house and keep my family off our front porch. The hornets are 1 1/2 inch long. Can I keep them off my property?

Answer:

Without having an applicator's license with the state that you are located in, you can not treat ground hornets in your neighbor's front yard. If they are on your property then you can treat this pest. You can apply a treatment that offers a residual labeled for them but the best option would be to reach out to your neighbor so they can have the nests on their property treated directly. They can contact us for expert advice on application. 866-581-7378 M-F 9-5 PM EST
