My pro pest company uses Delta dust in all the outlet and switches for roaches/pests but I see in your DIY video you use Maxforce bait. Can you help me understand why to use one vs the other? It seems to me bait would be the better option as the pest would bring it back to the colony (assuming Delta dust doesn't work same "domino" kill way)

Answer:

Delta dust is commonly applied in areas like electrical outlets, light switch plates and other areas where you do not want to apply a liquid insecticide. It will last if left undisturbed for 6-8 months. Bait gel (including Maxforce Roach Bait Gel) can be applied in that area (if there is not any dust present) but should be applied every two weeks to maintain a fresh food source for the roaches. It is only labeled for roaches. Delta dust can eradicate many other listed insects including roaches. If you are mainly treating roaches, we suggest applying a liquid insecticide mixed with an IGR (insect growth regulator) and water and treat on the exterior of the structure and the interior cracks and crevices. Apply the bait gel in areas (where you have not sprayed) like the cabinets, under the sink, behind the toilet, above the door frames, etc. Apply dust in the wall voids, outlets, light switch plates, etc. Bait is applied every two weeks, dust is applied every 6-8 months, liquid soultion is applied every 30 days outside and every 90 days inside.
