Nufarm Polaris controls Japanese bamboo and cattails as well as most other tough aquatic, brushy weeds. It can be used in riparian zones, wetlands, estuaries, roadside and utility rights-of-way, wildlife openings, and other non-cropland areas. The long-lasting formula provided by Nufarm Polaris helps to reduce the need for re-treating, and the low usage rate means less product to apply and handle. As with all of Nufarm's products, Polaris offers the quality performance you expect.

Excellent nonselective soil applied and postemergent herbicide. When used with Diuron covers a very broad spectrum of weeds and light brush. I would have preferred the 40% solution for more cost effective carry in vehicle, however price was reasonable for this 20% formulation.

Good easy to use product

Results are determined by the mix rate. using 1.5oz min per gallon has given me predicable results. Does not have an issue with ground leaching like some products, will purchase again.

Not worth the price
By Richard in Huntsville, AL on 06/10/2015
Purchased Polaris herbicide to spray Privet. Instructions say a 1% solution will kill the plant. I raised the concentration to 2% and had very little success. Basically only works on young plants. It killed a lot of grass that was not a target pest. Will have to resort to mechanical means to remove the invasive species. Way too expensive for so few results.

QWhat mixture of Nufarm Polaris Herbicide should I use around a septic drain system where tall grass is growing?
A For most grassy weeds, you will use 2-3 pints per acre of Nufarm Polaris Herbicide, and you may need to add a surfactant to your mixture. We are unable to give more specific dilution rates without knowing exactly what plants you need to control. You can consult the product label for complete rates and application instructions, or you may call us at 866-581-7378 for further assistance. You should not apply Polaris in areas where it would drain into public waters.
