    How are they adjusted for a driveway opening?

    The Origin Point Brands Barrier Gate is actually made of powder coated steel. It would adjusted by pulling out the top pole which extends from 5-12 feet in length.

    Which direction does the Origin Point Brands Barrier Gate open and close?
    Can it adjust to only one direction?

    The Origin Point Brands Barrier Gate opens from side to side, at 180 degree angles. It is mounted with hinges that allow it to swing both ways so unfotunately, it can't be adjusted to only open in one direction.

    What is the diameter of the pipe that is used for the Origin Point Brands Barrier Gate?

    The Origin Point Brands Barrier Gate does not come with a pipe. Here is a list of the parts:

    Can the Origin Point Brands Barrier Gate be attached to a metal post?
    I noticed on the packaging that, hardware to attach gate to steel post could be purchased separately, but I can't seem to find a link to buy it. Could you clarify what kind of hinge I would need?

    Can the Origin Point Brands Barrier Gate be easily painted?
    Can the gate be easily painted white? I'm looking for a white gate to go with the rest of the neighborhood community fencing.

    We dont see any reason why you would not be able to paint the Origin Point Brands Barrier Gate. We would recommend that you use an outdoor paint that is designed for application to metal or multiple surfaces outdoors for best adhesion and longevity on the gate. Due to the dark green color of the gate you may need to apply 2 coats of white paint to fully cover the color and have it match the fencing.

    Can you mount a solar panel device for this Origin Point Brands Barrier Gate to open?

    We have spoken with the manufacturer, and they said that you could use an automatic opener on the Origin Point Brands Barrier Gate, however it would void the warranty.  They stated that these gates are not intended for motorized openers that open frequently. These gates are intended more to prevent traffic from entering an area.  We would recommend you contact the manufacturer directly Origin Point Brands at 1.800.607.6409 for further information.

    It's stated on one of the answers that this gate is not intended for frequent opening and closing? Why? So it would not be recommended for use in a residential driveway?

    Does the Origin Point Brands Barrier Gate lock in place at its base so it won't swing?
    Or do you need to pad lock it to a wood post on the opposite side of the roadway?

    The Origin Point Brands Barrier Gate has a metal loop at the end of the arm with the intention of attaching it to a post. You could possibly configure something from a hardware store to block the hinge from moving on your main installation post to keep it from swinging.

    Can the Origin Point Brands Barrier Gate be used in regions where it will be exposed to salt air in the Gulf of Mexico? Is the powder coating on the inside and outside steel parts and the gate has stainless steel hardware otherwise? Should steel posts be used for mounting instead of 6 x 6 wood beams?
    A

    It would be recommended that you apply an anti-corrosive paint to the gates and with regular field maintenance to deter corrosion with a wire brush would lengthen the life of the product.  This gate is made with steel, aluminum alloy and some parts are plastic.  We would recommend using a wooden post for mounting.

    Can 2 Origin Point Brands Barrier Gates be mounted on either side with one gate upside down to attach a panel to them?
    I would install extra post support and a crossover bracket at the end, is this feasible? Looking to stop foot and vehicle traffic.
