Tip from the manufacturer: Do not use more than 2 traps in your home at a time. Using more than the recommended number of traps can make your home over saturated with the attractant and the moths will become confused and will not enter the traps.

ProPest Pheronet Pantry Pest Traps trap moths by using special moth pheromones, or sex lures, that excite male moths. These traps attract trap and kill male moths, disrupting mating and eventually controlling the pantry pest problem. Pheronet Pantry Pest Traps are designed to capture pantry moths including Indian Meal Moths, Mediterranean Flour Moths, Almond Moths, Raisin Moths and Cigarette Beetles.
To use this trap simply remove the release paper on the trap to expose the glue. The trap is already pre-baited with pheromones, so all you need to do is form the trap into a box form and hang it in areas of moth activity.
D-Force Aerosol contains the active ingredient Deltamethrin and offers both knockdown and residual control of pantry pests and a wide variety of other crawling and flying pests for up to 8 weeks.

This kit is the bomb !!!!
By Cathy in Jacksonville, Florida on 12/19/2011
Somehow my small hall closet that I use as a kitchen pantry had become totally infested with a moth looking creature that I had no clue what they were so I called and found out they were pantry moths. The very helpful young lady who answered the phone answered my many questions, told me what to do and suggested this kit. Got it, scrubbed everything with hot soapy water like she told me to do, sprayed, and then put out 2 traps (one in the closet and one in the kitchen) and 48 hours later they were all GONE and haven't seen another one since. Domyownpestcontrol.com is my go to place for great helpful information, quality products and fair and reasonable prices!!!!

Great Product and even better customer service
By Mary in evansville, IN on 08/14/2012
I purchased this pantry kit a month ago. I had a horrible infestation of moths. They came home with me in dog food/biscuits or bird seed. These moths are really hard to kill. I first used the traps. After two separate orders I realized I needed the spray. I had emptied everything out of my pantry and found them hiding in those holes that you can raise and lower the shelves. After spraying and trapping I can happily say I am 'moth free'. I had some issues with my can and their customer service totally satisfied my problems. I am a very happy customer!

Pantry Moths Nightmare
By Jw in Warminster, PA on 06/07/2012
I purchased the traps at first and they worked, however the moths kept coming and traps were full, finally ordered the kit and the spray has seem to done the job. I see one here and there but I just ordered more traps to put in cabinets for precaution. The pantry moths are hard to get rid...takes time and lots of patience...

There is peace in my kitchen once again
By Maria in Texas on 07/13/2012
I had a three week infestation of mostly Indian Meal and some Angoumois grain moths. I sprayed with supermarket bug spray and then went on "hunts" of these beasts with a portable vacuum cleaner every night at sunset. Thank goodness for the internet and DoMyOwnPestControl.com. I was to identify the pests. I ordered the Pantry Pest Kit and followed ALL of the instructions - got rid of all the foods the bugs liked - including teas/spices, washed everything down with soap and water and sprayed every crack and seam in my kitchen cabinets with the spray. After 3 days, the nightly post-sunset crop of moths stopped. The adhesive tents have captured a couple more. The product that did the trick was the spray. It had an odor - but was not nearly as offensive-smelling as the over the counter spray I used unsuccessfully.

Pantry Pest Control Kit Review
By Phyllis in Williston, Florida on 08/14/2012
I was suddenly over-run with Pantry Moths and astounded at the number of them. I ordered the kit on my brother's advice. We removed everything, went through each item, threw away, or put items in storage bags for observation. We removed the shelving, repapered it and wiped the walls down. We put the spray in the cracks of the shelf supports and anywhere they could hide. We reshelved the canned goods and bagged items then installed the pantry pest traps, vacumned every flying moth or moth in the house. We put unaffected flour, meal, rice in the freezer. Now, after about two weeks, we are seldom seeing a moth, as they die out. Great product!!
By Ron in Marietta, Ga on 04/27/2017
The Pheronet moth traps are amazing. I would never have believed there were that many moths in our pantry. We would see an occasional moth which got into grains, cereals, etc. In about ten days we've caught 75 or more in two traps. It's gotta be slowing them down.
By Michelle in Saint Cloud, FL on 03/16/2017
Reduced moths in my house instantly after spraying all corners. Combined with the traps it was the first time we had relief of the infestation we had for months. Just the traps would not work in the past. The spray made the difference.
By Rafael in Seminole on 02/09/2017
The product is very good, but the spray dispenser don't work properly, get stock and does not work every time.
Thank you for your comments! With the new can design of D-Force aerosol, make sure that you have popped both of the safety tabs on the sides of the nozzle on the top of the can. These are in place to prevent accidental discharge during shipping, but they will need to be broken/popped in order to use the can properly. Also be sure that the crack and crevice straw is either fully horizontal or fully vertical when spraying. Please let us know if you are still having trouble using the product after this troubleshooting. You can also reach us by phone at 866-581-7378 M-F 9a-5p EST.

As soon as I place the traps in our pantry it attracted the pantry moths. We've had it now for 2 weeks and it's working great!

Can't do without both
By Karyn in Racine, WI on 05/31/2016
So far we are very pleased. The spray can be applied well. Little cracks and holes are most important. And the advice given is great! Those buggers love itty bitty spaces. And the pheromone traps work quickly.

We were overcome by pantry moths. (Indian mealworms). We set up 2 traps, one in the pantry and one in the "cat" room. They are wonderful!!!!! You wouldn't believe how many we caught. I highly recommend this product. Someone who gave a review said to only put 2 up at a time otherwise moths would get confused. This really worked.

QI have an infestation of very small moths in my pantry. What should I do to get rid of them?
I am getting ready to place an order for Max Force.
AMaxforce bait will not work for pantry moths. The best way to eliminate pantry moths is to find the infested food items and dispose of them immediately and thoroughly clean the infested cabinet. The moth larva (immature moths) can usually be found in grain products such as pasta, rice, flour, or spices. The adult moths and wandering larva can be killed with CY-Kick aerosol. The active male moths can be lured and trapped with the Pro-pest Pantry Moth trap. We have put together A Pantry Pest kit that contains everything you need to get rid of the pantry moths.

QHow to get rid of moths in whole house?
I ordered your pantry pest kit last week and am waiting for it to arrive. We've had moths (mostly visible during warm months) for over a year, and they're in 7 rooms on 2 floors of our house. So far, not in basement or bsmt apt that we know. We've cleaned with regular cleaners and even sprayed a mix of ammonia and water. We've put out 7 of the Revenge moth traps which we got at the local hardware store (they say 1 trap per room). We kill an average of 8 to 10 moths per day by hand. Should we get rid of the Revenge moth traps, and use only the traps in your pantry pest kit? Should we get another product to help solve this problem? Please help! Thanks
AThe best tip we can give you is to catch a moth and take it to your Local Cooperative Extension office and have the Entomologist on staff identify the species. If you are using a trap that only targets a certain species of moth with its pheromone, and thats not the type of moth you have, then the traps will not work no matter how many you have or what kind. You also want to make sure you dont have too many traps up, as too many traps can cause you to not catch any moths as well. Most traps have a sexual pheromone to only attract the male moths to them to help interrupt the reproductive cycle. If there are too many traps, the air becomes over saturated with pheromone and the moth cant tell the difference between the trap and all the other air in the room and wont be directed to the trap. The female moths will not go to the traps so you would still need to kill those that are flying around. If you identify what kind of moth you have and the traps you have ordered apply to it, then you may need to use less traps to avoid over saturation. Also, you need to clean out everything, throw away any infested food, and treat all cracks and crevices of baseboards, cabinets and furniture in the area. The larvae will normally be left in crevices and can crawl in spots hard to see. Using a crack and crevice residual spray like Cy-Kick or D-Force will help give long term control over the babies. You can also put up Gentrol Point Source Stations to add a birth control to the mix. These will release a vapor in the air undetected by us but will affect the moths flying in the area and prevent them from creating more. You can review our article How To Get Rid of Pantry Moths for other steps for treating your home. Feel free to contact us if you have any other questions.

QI have kitchen moths. How long is their life span? I think I found the nest in a bag of dog food.
AWe would recommend discarding any opened or infested food (human or dog). Please store all items in sealed containers. You will clean all the cabinets, pantries and drawers out and wash with hot, soapy water to rid of any larvae on the shelving. After these surfaces are cleaned and dried completely, you will apply the products in our Pantry Pest Kit. The traps will lure and catch the adult males disrupting the life cycle. The crack and crevice application will offer a 4 week residual for treatment. The life span of a pantry moth varies depending on food and temperatures. The average is 8-12 weeks for one generation. Four to six generations could take residence in a home. This is from egg-adult (egg-1week, larvae-4-6 weeks, pupae- 1-2 weeks, adult 1-2 weeks).
QConfused Flour Beetle
Reading the reviews of the product it seems people are using it to get rid of moths mostly. My problem however is confused flour beetle and I'm wondering if the same product would help with that?
AThe Pantry Pest Kit is a wonderful solution for flour beetles. Cy-Kick Aerosol is labeled to kill flour beetles. You will need to make sure you take out any infested food and throw away and put lids and/or bag the items that are out. You will spray this product in the cracks and crevices of the pantry area. The traps are labeled to be used for moths as well as beetles.

QWill the pantry pest trap work insects that eat synthetic fabric?
I have several clothing items that are synthetic that have eaten places--not holes--but part of the fiber has been eaten. What insect does this damage and what do you have to exterminate it/them? These items were in a hanging bag storage over the spring/summer.
AThe ProPest Pheronet Pantry Pest Traps will only work for Indian Meal Moths, Mediterranean Flour Moths, Almond Moths, Raisin Moths and Cigarette Beetles. If there were indeed pests damaging the clothing there should be some evidence of the insects themselves such as feces, cast skins or dead insects. You should also note that it is usually the immature insects called larva that do most of the damage to clothing. Have you noticed small beetles or moths around the inside of your home lately? We recommend taking all of the clothes out of the storage bag and washing them and then drying the clothing on high heat. Any insects that may have been on the clothing would be killed. You should also thoroughly clean the storage bag or discard it.

QHow to get rid of pantry moths?
My kitchen has become overrun by pantry moths. What are the steps for riding it of the pantry moths.
AThe best way to get rid of pantry moths is to first discard of any open or contaminated food items. We then recommend to use the Pantry Pest Kit.

QCan the Pantry Pest Kit be used for "drugstore beetle"?
I'm not sure if flour beetle and drugstore beetle are one and the same. I had a minor infestation in one cupboard inside old pasta boxes and spices (tiny, brown bug). Would this kit be useful? I am still seeing one or two here and there.
AThe glue traps in the Pantry Pest Kit are not labeled to attract drugstore beetles, however the Cy Kick aerosol would kill any beetle that came into contact with a crevice it was sprayed into. You may want to get a can of the Cy-Kick by itself and Gentrol IGR Aerosol as well to help stop the reproductive cycle of any larva and adults in the infested area.

QWhat do you recommend for pantry moths that we have treated with only foggers for about 16 months?
A While fogging may kill moths out and about, it will not take care of the problem. The best way to eliminate pantry moths is to find the infested food items and dispose of them†immediately and thoroughly clean the infested cabinet. The moth larvae (immature moths) can usually be found in grain products such as pasta, rice, flour, or spices. The adult moths and wandering larvae can be killed with CY-Kick aerosol. The active male moths can be lured and trapped with the Pro-pest Pantry Moth trap. We have put together A Pantry Pest kit that contains everything you need to get rid of the pantry moths.
