  • Asked by Aaron from Wichita Falls, Tx
    03/21/2018
    Q
Can Pendulum AquaCap Herbicide be mixed with 2-4-D?
    A

Pendulum AquaCap Herbicide is a pre-emergent and 2,4 D is a selective post-emergent herbicide, so there should not be any reason you could not mix the two as long as they are each safe for the application area and used as directed. It is recommended to perform a simple jar test prior to tank mixing  to ensure comparability.

  • Asked by Paul from Albuquerque, Nm

    Q
How much Pendulum Aquacap Herbicide should I mix per gallon of water?
Using to clear rocked xeri-scape. I've already pulled by hand the existing weeds. Is there an Aquacap measurement/per gallon of water ratio or do I need to find out how much water covers 1000 sq.ft. - period?
    A

When applying Pendulum Aquacap Herbicide you would use 1.1 - 2.3 oz per 1,000 sq ft. Yes, you would need to mearsure off 1,000 sq ft and see how much water it takes to cover that area, and that would be the amount of water used with the Pendulum Aquacap for that 1,000 sq ft area.

  • Asked by John from Coulterville, Ca
    10/06/2018
    Q
How do you use Pendulum AquaCap in areas (road sides, forest areas, etc.) when watering in is impossible to do?
    A

Pre-emergents such as Pendulum AquaCap Herbicide require water for the product to reach the thatch area to prevent the weeds from germintating.  Unfortunately we do not have an alternate application that does not require water for the product to be effective.

    Q
Can I apply Pendulum AquaCap Herbicide in my dried pond area?
I have a dried pond, need to clear out burrs and other unwanted weeds. I will need to fill pond later in the year.
    A

We do not recommend Pendulum AquaCap Herbicide for this type of application. We would suggest a product such as RoundUp QuikPro as it does not contain a lasting residual in the soil.

  • Asked by Pamela from Grand Junction, colorado
    02/25/2021
    Q
Does Pendulum AquaCap Herbicide have an odor that persists well past application?
I have used a pendulum product in the past - but not this one - and it had a horrific odor that hung in the air for a couple of weeks. Very noxious. Looking for a less toxic smelling product. How does this one rate?
    A

Pendulum AquaCap Herbicide is known to have a strong odor but it should fade within a few days. Staying around for a couple of weeks shouldn't happen but it would depend on the rate you used and how much was applied.

  • Asked by Gabriel from Highland, Ca
    09/21/2021
    Q
Can I use Pendulum AquaCap Herbicide in California winter?
    A

Pendulum AquaCap Herbicide is a pre-emergent that can be applied in spring and fall prior to weed germination. The best time will depend on the weeds being targeted and when soil temperatures are around 55 degrees.

Please contact your local cooperative extension office to determine the correct timing of the application as this will vary greatly from region to region.

The ideal time to apply a fall pre-emergent herbicide to your yard is between August and November when the soil temperature is below 70 degrees and dropping.

The general rule for spring is to apply your pre-emergent herbicide treatment after the ground has thawed from the winter but before the temperature of your soil reaches 55 degrees, as that is when crabgrass begins to germinate. Other weeds will germinate when the soil temperature is between 55 and 65 degrees. You can use a soil thermometer to determine the temperature of your lawn/area. You will want to measure the temperature of the soil a few inches below ground.
