Pennington Lawn Starter Fertilizer has a high phosphorous content which is ideal for new plant development because it encourages strong root development. This fertilizer is specially formulated for new lawns from sod, seed, or grass plugs. It provides all of the essential nutrients that are necessary for getting new plants and grasses off to a good start. It stimulates strong, healthy root development and helps plants grow faster. Pennington Lawn Starter also contains additional beneficial nutrients such as boron, copper, iron, manganese, and zinc. It gradually and consistently feeds your lawn for up to 4 months. It can be applied year round, but applying in the spring or fall will offer the best results.
One (1) 3.5 lb bag will cover 1,000 sq. ft.

| Application | For new lawns, this product should be broadcast uniformly over the soil surface using one bag per 1,000 square feet of lawn area (see spreader settings). Work the fertilizer lightly into the soil 1/4" to 1/8" deep then plant your seed following the directions on the seed bag and water regularly until the lawn is established. When reseeding or sodding, apply at one bag per 1,000 square feet and water thoroughly. |
