Had a major flea infestation, probably wasted 2 weeks trying to get control of the problem with store products, don't waste your time with local store killers. Found do my own pest control, purchased permethrin and an igr and immediately got control of the situation. With a major infestation, don't be surprised if you have to make several applications over a 2 week period and thats due to the flea life cycle, but this stuff is the best and a local exterminator agreed.

My yard had literally thousand of beetles this year. In my 50 years of gardening I never encountered any until last year. They loved the Crepe Myrtles, Virginia creeper, Pussy Willow, blooms on the Oak Hydrangea, and I even had them on the Echinacea petals and inside the Day lily blossoms. Permethrin SFR, just 10 cc per gallon of water had them eliminated within 2 days. There are just a few stragglers now and in the last few days. Doing it myself saved me much money, thank you for making it available to the private consumer. Directions must be followed to avoid damage to plants and/or pets. I had no unwanted results this way.

Great Value---Quick Shipping

Bought for a tick infestation in Miami, Florida. Product is highly concentrated, so it's very economical for use with a hose sprayer for treating lawn. Seemed to be effective, particularly when combined with Preventic collars on the dogs. Ordering was easy and they shipped very quickly.

I ordered the Permethrin after a little online research. It worked very well. I have no signs of fire ants all along my fence line or any more of those crazy Rasberry Ants either.....all after one application. As for domyownpestcontrol.com, they shipped the product as advertised in a very timely manner. I will definitely do business with them again.

My dog had ticks, so I mixed and sprayed per instructions mixed at 1/4 fl.oz per pint ... didn't do squat, so I decided to test on live ticks, and was able to verify out of 10 ticks 9 survived for more than 1 hour at the the rated concentration. Increased the dosage and tested again with double , but it did not kill all 10 ticks until I mixed 5/8 fl.oz to each pint. Maybe I got a bad batch, but I am going back to Talstar
Please note that Permethrin is not a contact kill product. It can take 24-48 hours to kill in an insect after they have received a lethal dose of the product.

This is the first time in 10 years I've found a product to do what it does. I had a home built in the country and used lots of different products to eliminate pest, it is the best! I use it twice a week to spray around the border of doors and garage and to my surprise, it does exactly what the label say it can do. I am so happy with it and have recommended it to family and friends.

This is a very good product if you have fleas or any type of insects it will do the job
By Abiud in Edcouch, TX on 06/23/2017
This is an excellent product for pests and Texas cutter ants. I've been using this product for a few years now, battling Texas cutter ants - it kills them. Although, it wont eliminate them (nothing out there does), it definitely helps control them. Additionally, I've used it to spray around the house to control other insects and spiders. It has always worked very well.

Finally, something that works very effectively!!
By Wayne in Los Angeles, CA on 06/21/2017
I purchased this product in order to get rid of fleas that were biting a tenant of mine. The non-toxic method of salt that a pet store had informed me about, did not work. After spraying inside the apartment and on the outside grounds, the fleas were gone and so were ants, spiders and other unwanted bugs. Thank you for this product!

I've used this for years for indoor/outdoor pest control, including broadcast spraying. Great product.

Wife & I had a problem with chigger bites. Found the cure with Permethrin SFR 36.8%. Mixed according to the label, pump-up sprayer application on the suspected areas outside and waited for the effect. It took a couple days to get the full effect of the treatment, but now, 14 days later, all is clear. I recommend this for the chiggers for sure, and termites of course. Do MY Own ships very quickly and the free ship is a blast. I'll keep this place in mind.

QWill Permethrin SFR kill black widow and brown recluse spiders? Is it safe for gardens, children, and pets?
will permethrin sfr get rid of black widows and brown widows or is there a better product for these spiders? Please tell me the dangers for small children, animals and an organic garden. Thank you
ABrown recluse spiders and black widow spiders share the same biology as every other species of spiders and are not any harder to kill than other spiders. Permethrin SFR is labeled for spiders and should do a great job in helping you eliminate spiders in and around your home. Permethrin SFR is safe around children and pets as long as they are kept out of the area during the application and they do not return to the area until it is dry. Permethrin SFR should not be used in an organic garden because it is a synthetic product and it is not labeled for use on most types of edible plants.
QWhat is the ratio of water to Permethrin?
AYou did not mention a specific product, but we assume you are speaking of Permethrin SFR or something similar. You can use anywhere from 1 ounce to 3 ounces of Permethrin per gallon of water depending on what you are treating. You should read the product label for complete treating instructions.
QCan you use Permethrin SFR indoors for fleas?
AYes, you can use Permethrin SFR indoors for fleas. You can also use it outside and directly on dogs(do NOT use on cats). Please read the product label for complete instructions.
QCan I use Permethrin SFR on my dog? If so, how much product should I use per gallon of water?
I just got a 3 yr old pit bull and he has lots of ticks.
AYes, you can use Permethrin SFR on your dog. You should use ¼ fl. oz of product to 1¼ gallons water then thoroughly wet the animal to the skin with sponge or rag. Let drip dry. You can find these instructions on page 16 of the Permethrin SFR product label which we have linked in this answer for your convenience but is always available on the Permrthrin SFR product page.

QUsing Permethrin SFR how many oz per quart water for mix of .5%?
AYou will need to use 1 2/3 fl. oz. for each gallon of water to get a 0.5% ratio. If you only need to mix one quart of solution at a time you will need to use just under 1/2 (0.43) oz of Permethrin SFR per quart of water to get a 0.5% mixture.

QTengard SFR and Permethrin SFR are the same ingredients why isn't Permethrin labeled for as much?
A Permethrin SFR 36.8%†is not labeled for as much, becuase it has not been on the market as long. It has not has as much time to research.

QWill Permethrin SFR 36.8% kill worms that are harmful for dogs in my yard?
A You do not state exactly what type of worms you would be trying to use Permethrin SFR 36.8% to treat. This product has several pests on the label. If you happen to be speaking of things like heartworm or intestinal worms, no this product would not treat for anything like that. †

QWill Permethrin SFR 36.8% work for chigger control?
We had our home built last year & never had issues except mosquitos. But we dug for a pool this summer & all of a sudden I learned about chiggars. They tore us up so much worse than mosquito bites. I bought the 10% until I could get someone to spray. But now that I'm learning more, I'd like to take care of our issue's. The pool backs up to a small sparsely wooded single line of mainly pines. Just wondering about best mixture & frequency when it starts to get hot again.

QIs the combo Permethrin + NyGuard safe in the home for an 11-month old who is crawling?
This combo was applied and we waited the full drying period before returning to the home. There was a strong odor and I am hesitant to allow my child to crawl on the floors. I see posts about the permethin not being safe for even clothing application, so I worry it poses a risk after carpet application. Is there harm in allowing my child to now roam about the house? Why is it dangerous when wet, but safe when dry.
A Permethrin SFR 36.8%†cannot be applied to clothing. †Permethrin SFR 36.8%†mixed with Nyguard IGR is safe for children and pets after drying. There is a slight odor, but that dissapates over a short time. In the original wet state, it can irritate skin. That is why we recommend to keep children and pets away until dried. If the treated area were to get wet it does not "reactivate".†

QWhat temperature do the water need to be when mixing Permethrin SFR 36.8% when treating for fleas in my house?
A There is not a set temperature required for using Permethrin SFR, it is not an issue when mixing most products and most of the time we suggest something along the lines of warm or room temperature water.

QWhat time of year is appropriate to use Permethrin SFR 36.8%?
Live in Kansas I want to apply product on ground around hive to reduce hive Beetles.
A You want to be very careful when using Permethrin SFR 36.8% to treat for hive beetles as the Permethrin is highly toxic to bees! According to the attached article from the University of Arkansas about Managing Small Hive Beetles†:†† Soil Treatment - The pupal stage is a vulnerable time in the beetle life cycle. Slightly moist, loose, sandy soil is optimal for their development. Locating colonies on hard clay or rocky soil, rather than light sandy soil, can reduce the number of beetly larvae that successfully pupate. If larvae are present in the colony,†soil around the hive can be treated with a permethrin drench to prevent the larvae from pupating, killing them in the soil.† We also suggest that you contact your local Extension office††to see what their recommendations are for as far as time frame for you to do this in your area. Most times they can give you much more precise advice on those times of years more specific to your local area.†
