Japanese Beetles
By Hildegard on July 16, 2010My yard had literally thousand of beetles this year. In my 50 years of gardening I never encountered any until last year. They loved the Crepe Myrtles, Virginia creeper, Pussy Willow, blooms on the Oak Hydrangea, and I even had them on the Echinacea petals and inside the Day lily blossoms. Permethrin SFR, just 10 cc per gallon of water had them eliminated within 2 days. There are just a few stragglers now and in the last few days. Doing it myself saved me much money, thank you for making it available to the private consumer. Directions must be followed to avoid damage to plants and/or pets. I had no unwanted results this way.

Great Product
By Daniel on September 26, 2010I ordered the Permethrin after a little online research. It worked very well. I have no signs of fire ants all along my fence line or any more of those crazy Rasberry Ants either.....all after one application. As for domyownpestcontrol.com, they shipped the product as advertised in a very timely manner. I will definitely do business with them again.

Bought for a tick infestation in Miami, Florida. Product is highly concentrated, so it's very economical for use with a hose sprayer for treating lawn. Seemed to be effective, particularly when combined with Preventic collars on the dogs. Ordering was easy and they shipped very quickly.

Perfect for Georgia!!!
June 5, 2013This is my third year to use this product. Our place, like many others in Georgia, is carved right in the middle of the woods. Beautiful, private and peaceful, but under constant attact by every little creepy crawly, the woods can throw at you. Fleas, ticks, roaches, spiders, bettles, grubs,,,,,etc. For many years I had tried every product on the shelf, used exterminators, you name it we tried it. Nothing produced any kind of lasting control. Until I found DMOPC and Permethrin SFR 36.8%. Lawns, Roses, Peach trees, Garden spot, even in and around the horse barn for fly and mosquito control. Amazing as it may sound, this product does the job. Even at the low dosage rate, knockdown is pretty quick and residual is fantastic. Read and follow the label and you will soon realize this is total pest control at a more than reasonable price. And Do My Own Pest Control delivers quick with no hassle.

Seems to get rid of all bugs around here.
By Jacob on May 27, 2013

I moved into a house surrounded with woods. The house has a large basement, garages, and carports. Plenty of places for things to hide. This stuff at .05% killed all bugs. We have not seen a live bug since spraying. By the cracks in the basement and garage we see dead bugs here and there. With the help of flea preventative on the dogs, the bad infestation of fleas are gone.

Ticks and Fleas
By Aleon on April 21, 2013

Gets the job done. I started using this last year for ticks and fleas indoors and out. Used about 1oz to 5 gals-water mix for the yard and after four applications (just finished one bottle) using a "end hose sprayer" the ticks were gone and did not come back this year. Fleas are back, but I probably will have to spray every few weeks to get rid of them again which is expected as I have alley cats and dogs all around. I also dip my huskey with this after a regular bath using the same concentration and she's been real clean and happy since I started with this last year.

Permethrin SFR 36.8% - 1.25 Gallon
By Charles on April 20, 2013Great price and fast delivery. I have used this product in the past from a different supplier and paid a higher price for less product. The concentrate is great for diluting in a yard sprayer and 1.25 gallons will last me for years.

Permethrin SFR 36.8% works
By J. on October 30, 2012
Verified Purchase
I bought Permethrin SFR 36.8% to treat Pine Beetle infestation in a 100+ ft pine tree and to protect others on our property. I followed the package instructions and it appears that the beetles were eliminated from the tree. But no insect spray can guarantee that the pine will not die from beetles. For us, it seems to have worked and cost substantially less than other insecticides.

Sherri from Newport Beach, Ca. asked:
QWill Permethrin SFR kill black widow and brown recluse spiders? Is it safe for gardens, children, and pets?
will permethrin sfr get rid of black widows and brown widows or is there a better product for these spiders?
Please tell me the dangers for small children, animals and an organic garden. Thank you
ABrown recluse spiders and black widow spiders share the same biology as every other species of spiders and are not any harder to kill than other spiders. Permethrin SFR is labeled for spiders and should do a great job in helping you eliminate spiders in and around your home. Permethrin SFR is safe around children and pets as long as they are kept out of the area during the application and they do not return to the area until it is dry. Permethrin SFR should not be used in an organic garden because it is a synthetic product and it is not labeled for use on most types of edible plants.
April 15, 2011 Sylvia asked:
QWhat is the ratio of water to Permethrin?
AYou did not mention a specific product, but we assume you are speaking of Permethrin SFR or something similar. You can use anywhere from 1 ounce to 3 ounces of Permethrin per gallon of water depending on what you are treating. You should read the product label for complete treating instructions.
May 16, 2011 Nacho asked:
QCan I use Permethrin SFR on my dog? If so, how much product should I use per gallon of water?
I just got a 3 yr old pit bull and he has lots of ticks.
AYes, you can use Permethrin SFR on your dog. You should use ¼ fl. oz of product to 1¼ gallons water then thoroughly wet the animal to the skin with sponge or rag. Let drip dry. You can find these instructions on page 16 of the Permethrin SFR product label which we have linked in this answer for your convenience but is always available on the Permrthrin SFR product page.
March 21, 2011 Dianne asked:
QWe have identified zimmerman pine moth, which is more effective the Permethrin or Bifenthrin?
ABoth permethrin and bifenthrin are synthetic pyrethroids and will provide very comparable results for zimmerman moths. Bifenthrin does tend to last a little longer than permethrin.

Pamela from Memphis Tn asked:
QHow much Permethrin SFR to use in a one gallon sprayer
Backyard is 2500 square feet. I want to use a gallon sprayer.
AWe recommend using 1 2/3 fl. oz of Pemethrin SFR per gallon of water for Fleas and Ticks. One gallon of mixed solution will give you approx. 1,000 sq. feet of treatment.
May 25, 2013 Martin asked:
QWhat does "SFR" mean?
AThe SFR has nothing to do with the product itself like most initials after products. It was actually added on by the creater meaning "surfactant for richard".
May 15, 2013
Ben from Leroy, Mn asked:
QCan Permethrin SFR be applied directly to skin on dogs?
Can this product be applied directly to dogs to repel ticks.
AThis product can absolutely be used on dogs for tick control. You can use it diluted with water as a dip, or a general rub down on their fur for control. Please see the bottom of page 16 of the Product Label for exact mixing rates and how to apply properly to your pet.

Ron from Nashville asked:
QCan Permethrin SFR be used in ULV fogger for air ducts?
What is the safe time for humans and pets to re-enter the home if Permethrin SFR is fogged airborne in the interior of a home
APermethrin SFR is NOT labeled to be fogged inside of homes. It is only labeled to be fogged indoors of agricultural facilities. If you have already fogged indoors please contact Control Solutions at 281-892-2500.
May 10, 2013
Ron from Nashville asked:
QCan Permethrin SFR be used on beds and sofas where spiders hide?
Is Permethrin SFR safe for human contact as noted above?
APermethrin SFR is not labeled for that use. To treat spider mites, we recommend using Onslaught as a residual to cracks and crevices, floors, window frames, door frames. You can also use sterifab as an on contact kill to be applied to mattress, and furniture.
May 7, 2013
Dave from Parkersburg, Wv asked:
QWhat ratio do I mix the Permethrin SFR 36.8% in petroleum jelly to make a bee butter to kill carpenter bees?
Do I need to put sugar in the mix or anything else?
APermethrin SFR is not labeled for this type of usage so we cannot recommend you use it in this fashion. You can call the manufacturer for further recommendations. You can reach Control Solutions by calling 281-892-2500
May 7, 2013
Scott from Saline, Mi asked:
QI already mix Talstar & Nyguard, can I add Permethrin SFR for added tick control?
AWe would not recommend adding the Permethrin SFR to your mixture as it is a synthetic pyrethroid just like Talstar. If you are looking to have a little faster knock down you can add the product Kicker which will give you the quick control while the Talstar provides the longer residual. Keep in mind tick control takes time and several re treatments before the population will start to decline. The NyGuard IGR will give about a 4-5 month residual over the reproductive cycle but you can spray the Talstar every 14 days as needed to help knock back the population as well.
April 30, 2013
Jay from Harrisburg, Pa asked:
QIs Permethrin SFR effective for outdoor for Mosquito control? Does it need an IGR like ExciteR with it?
Looking to spray small wooded section in back yard and 2 trees.
APermethrin SFR is not labeled for general mosquito control so we do not recommend it for this use. We usually recommend using Talstar P for mosquito control and it can be used with an IGR such as Nyguard IGR to help sterilize the adults. (Exciter is a pyrethrum which causes a faster kill but it is not an IGR).
April 30, 2013
David from Austin Texas asked:
QI would like a permethrin solution that is easy to apply to large area - one acre.
1 acre yard in Austin.
APermethrin SFR is one of the most popular permethrin based products and is labeled for use in yards and in homes.
April 28, 2013
Helen from Gallatin, Tennessee asked:
QWhat concentration should I use to treat the carpenter bees gallery holes and home ext. in a cedar log house?
What concentration of Permethrin SFR 36.8% should I use to treat the exterior of my home and also spraying into the gallery holes the bees live in in my cedar log house? Concentration of oz/gallon h20 exterminating carpenter bees? How many oz/gallon of water I have already purchased a 32 oz bottle and have done a test. I used 1 oz per gallon, but wish your insight. I need to spray the exterior of my entire house and wish your professional assistance with ratio... Thank YOU!
AWe recommend using 1 2/3 fl. oz per gallon of water for carpenter bee control. You should plan on spraying one time per month through the carpenter bee season.
