Had a major flea infestation, probably wasted 2 weeks trying to get control of the problem with store products, don't waste your time with local store killers. Found do my own pest control, purchased permethrin and an igr and immediately got control of the situation. With a major infestation, don't be surprised if you have to make several applications over a 2 week period and thats due to the flea life cycle, but this stuff is the best and a local exterminator agreed.

My yard had literally thousand of beetles this year. In my 50 years of gardening I never encountered any until last year. They loved the Crepe Myrtles, Virginia creeper, Pussy Willow, blooms on the Oak Hydrangea, and I even had them on the Echinacea petals and inside the Day lily blossoms. Permethrin SFR, just 10 cc per gallon of water had them eliminated within 2 days. There are just a few stragglers now and in the last few days. Doing it myself saved me much money, thank you for making it available to the private consumer. Directions must be followed to avoid damage to plants and/or pets. I had no unwanted results this way.

I ordered the Permethrin after a little online research. It worked very well. I have no signs of fire ants all along my fence line or any more of those crazy Rasberry Ants either.....all after one application. As for domyownpestcontrol.com, they shipped the product as advertised in a very timely manner. I will definitely do business with them again.

Great Value---Quick Shipping
By Jason on September 12, 2011
Bought for a tick infestation in Miami, Florida. Product is highly concentrated, so it's very economical for use with a hose sprayer for treating lawn. Seemed to be effective, particularly when combined with Preventic collars on the dogs. Ordering was easy and they shipped very quickly.

I have a infestation of cockroaches it has been tiedious, but I think its finally working. treatment after treatment. nothing has worked. its decent stuff, but for future refrence if your going to try and tackle this mountain by yourselves use bait first. Sereously it has taken near a month and a half and they continue to come back. these little bugs are resiliant. I purchased more cyphermethrine I bought this, because it has a broader spectrum for killing. This stuffs poisonous to mice cats rats and other unwanted pests, but I hear cypher works better for bugs.

Great Flea and insect pest control!
By John on September 1, 2014
This product knocked down our backyard flea problem in less than a day. We had hundreds of fleas due to some feral cats that had kittens under our deck. It was awful. Our dogs were really suffering. One pass around the yard in the morning and by the evening the "white sock" test produced NO fleas. Great product. Mixed with IGR and still no fleas after 2 weeks. I also should note that DMOPC was really great. Our first shipment was lost by the USPS and they sent a new order, no charge immediately. Best service ever!

Made the party GREAT !!!
By Wally on August 2, 2014
I have tried many things but now this works. Live in the country and have a fireworks party each year, the gnats and mosquitos are out for blood. I have tried many things with no results, but I sprayed the area the day before and the day of the party this year and it was totally bug free, everyone enjoyed the show and stayed much later afterwards.

Used it on my yard to control chiggers. I seem to have a lot of them Since then I've been out weedwacking and no bites! Hopefully, this is the end of them. I plan another treatment in a week or so as a back up.

Mixed a sprayed as per directed with great results. The target was chiggers around our Oklahoma acreage. They are gone as well as all the mud wasps, paper wasps ,spiders and black beetles. Even the flies are thinned considerably! I can hardly wait for cricket season! If they have hatch I know I can knock them out with this mixture.

Sherri from Newport Beach, Ca. asked:
QWill Permethrin SFR kill black widow and brown recluse spiders? Is it safe for gardens, children, and pets?
will permethrin sfr get rid of black widows and brown widows or is there a better product for these spiders? Please tell me the dangers for small children, animals and an organic garden. Thank you
ABrown recluse spiders and black widow spiders share the same biology as every other species of spiders and are not any harder to kill than other spiders. Permethrin SFR is labeled for spiders and should do a great job in helping you eliminate spiders in and around your home. Permethrin SFR is safe around children and pets as long as they are kept out of the area during the application and they do not return to the area until it is dry. Permethrin SFR should not be used in an organic garden because it is a synthetic product and it is not labeled for use on most types of edible plants.
April 15, 2011 Sylvia asked:
QWhat is the ratio of water to Permethrin?
AYou did not mention a specific product, but we assume you are speaking of Permethrin SFR or something similar. You can use anywhere from 1 ounce to 3 ounces of Permethrin per gallon of water depending on what you are treating. You should read the product label for complete treating instructions.
May 26, 2010 Vic asked:
QCan you use Permethrin SFR indoors for fleas?
AYes, you can use Permethrin SFR indoors for fleas. You can also use it outside and directly on dogs(do NOT use on cats). Please read the product label for complete instructions.

Branch from Milton, Ma asked:
QUsing Permethrin SFR how many oz per quart water for mix of .5%?
AYou will need to use 1 2/3 fl. oz. for each gallon of water to get a 0.5% ratio. If you only need to mix one quart of solution at a time you will need to use just under 1/2 (0.43) oz of Permethrin SFR per quart of water to get a 0.5% mixture.
May 16, 2011 Nacho asked:
QCan I use Permethrin SFR on my dog? If so, how much product should I use per gallon of water?
I just got a 3 yr old pit bull and he has lots of ticks.
AYes, you can use Permethrin SFR on your dog. You should use ¼ fl. oz of product to 1¼ gallons water then thoroughly wet the animal to the skin with sponge or rag. Let drip dry. You can find these instructions on page 16 of the Permethrin SFR product label which we have linked in this answer for your convenience but is always available on the Permrthrin SFR product page.

Chuck from Winnipeg Mb, Canada asked:
QDoes your Permethrin SFR 36.8% have a Canadian approved label and PCP#?
looking for a supplier for Permethrin in Canada, but for legal restriction will require Canadian label and Canadian PCP registration # on the containers.
A Unfortunately, we do not ship internationally. Therefore, we do not have any information regarding Canadian labels or registration information. We would recommend you contact the manufacturer, Control Solutions at 281-892-2500 for further guidance.

Marinos from Riverside,ca asked:
Qwhat is the importance of the .5% and 1% rate ratio?
please explain ,I don't understand. thank you
A The rate you use will depend on where you are spraying, and what level of infestation you have. The lower rate is normally used for preventative/light infestations. The higher rate is normally used when you have a decently heavy problem and you want to eliminate it from inside and outside the home.

Qwhen this product is used in a horse barn as a fly spray we need to know how close our bees can be to the barn
We have several dozen bee hives that are not too far away from the barn where we need to spray for horse flies & we don't want to hurt our bees so how far away do the bees need to be from the barn in which we need to spray for horse flies
A We would recommend that you contact the manufacturer, Control Solutions for the most reliable recommendations for such a sensitive concern. Control Solutions may be reached at (800) 242-5562.

Mark from North Carolina asked:
QIs inhaling Permethrin SFR 36.8% fumes harmful? If so how long will it take for the fumes to go away?
A While we do not recommend inhaling Permethrin SFR 36.8% odor, when applied as labeled with the proper safety equipment, if you pick up on an odor it should not harm you. The label states to avoid the spray mist. The product should dry within 2 hours and then it is safe for people and pets. The odor should dissipate within 24 hours.

Norm from Albuquerque, Nm asked:
QWill this work for Pine Tip Moth?
I have new pine trees planted and want to protect from pine tip moths, bark beetles and so on. Will this product work for these types of pine infesting bugs?
A Yes, you will mix approximately 1 oz per gallon of water and use as a all over foliar/trunk spray. Be sure to reapply every 30 days during high pest persistence.
September 26, 2014 Gina asked:
QPermethrin SFR 36.8% kill Chiggers?
A Permethrin SFR 36.8% is not labeled for chiggers and may not provide adequate results for you. Onslaught insecticide is labeled for chiggers and can be used both indoors and outdoors as a broadcast spray. Chiggers are not known to infest structures. Chiggers are most likely outdoors in your yard. Many people are lead to believe that the infestation is indoors because they do not feel the effects of the chigger bites right away and then are lead to believe they are being bitten at a later time. Treatments for chiggers should begin in May and could need to continue through the summer as new chiggers move into the area. Treating the entire lawn is of little benefit because chiggers avoid direct sunlight and normally will not infest areas that are mowed or otherwise well maintained. Focus treatment on the unkempt areas of the lawn and lawn edge. You can also use Onslaught to do a barrier treatment around the outside of your home and in your crawl space to stop pests from moving indoors. If you feel strongly that you are being bitten inside by something we would urge you to get a sample of the pest and have it professionally identified by an entomologist. You can find an entomologist in your area by contacting your local cooperative extension office.

Ray from Louisville Ky asked:
QWhat is the difference between Permethrin 36.8% and Permethrin SFR 36.8%
Can this be used inside homes to kill bed bugs?
A Permethrin 36.8% and Permethrin SFR 36.8% are the same product with the same percentage of active ingredient. We do not recommend the product for bedbug treatments. Please find our Bedbug Treatment Kits for the most effective control as well as our 'How to Get Rid of Bedbugs' article for more information on application instructions. Please let us know if you need anything else or if you have questions.

Kathleen from Evans asked:
QIf dogs get into area treated before it dries, what are the symptoms they would have?

A If you believe your pet has been exposed to Permethrin SFR 36.8%, we would recommend contacting your vet immediately.
September 20, 2014 Wilson asked:
QWhat are the grazing restrictions on coastal Bermuda grass when applying Permethrin SFR?
A Permethrin SFR NOT labeled for and should not be used in grazing pastures at all. If you do have a grazing plot/area that was treated with the product, then the grass should be allowed to grow high and then be cut several times before the animals/horses can be turned out to graze again.

Phil from Cascade, Id asked:
QUtilizing Dominion 2L for pine borers via soil injection. When should applications be made.
A Because of the natural boring behavior of the beetle they are protected from topically applied insecticides and systemic insecticides (those injected into the tree or applied as a root drench) have proven ineffective for pine beetle infestations. Healthy trees can be protected before the beetles attack by topically spraying them with a synthetic pyrethroid like Permethrin SFR. Unfortunately there is no easy solution when it comes to pine beetles. Infected trees should be cut down (before the newly hatched beetles fly out of the trees in the spring/summer) and the wood burned or chipped, while other still healthy trees should be sprayed annually to protect them. The tree should be sprayed from the ground to 15 ft up the trunk to prevent future infestations. You should contact your local cooperative extension office to find out the best time to start spraying in your region.
