Had a major flea infestation, probably wasted 2 weeks trying to get control of the problem with store products, don't waste your time with local store killers. Found do my own pest control, purchased permethrin and an igr and immediately got control of the situation. With a major infestation, don't be surprised if you have to make several applications over a 2 week period and thats due to the flea life cycle, but this stuff is the best and a local exterminator agreed.

My yard had literally thousand of beetles this year. In my 50 years of gardening I never encountered any until last year. They loved the Crepe Myrtles, Virginia creeper, Pussy Willow, blooms on the Oak Hydrangea, and I even had them on the Echinacea petals and inside the Day lily blossoms. Permethrin SFR, just 10 cc per gallon of water had them eliminated within 2 days. There are just a few stragglers now and in the last few days. Doing it myself saved me much money, thank you for making it available to the private consumer. Directions must be followed to avoid damage to plants and/or pets. I had no unwanted results this way.

I ordered the Permethrin after a little online research. It worked very well. I have no signs of fire ants all along my fence line or any more of those crazy Rasberry Ants either.....all after one application. As for domyownpestcontrol.com, they shipped the product as advertised in a very timely manner. I will definitely do business with them again.

Great Value---Quick Shipping
By Jason in Miami, FL on September 12, 2011
Bought for a tick infestation in Miami, Florida. Product is highly concentrated, so it's very economical for use with a hose sprayer for treating lawn. Seemed to be effective, particularly when combined with Preventic collars on the dogs. Ordering was easy and they shipped very quickly.

I have a infestation of cockroaches it has been tiedious, but I think its finally working. treatment after treatment. nothing has worked. its decent stuff, but for future refrence if your going to try and tackle this mountain by yourselves use bait first. Sereously it has taken near a month and a half and they continue to come back. these little bugs are resiliant. I purchased more cyphermethrine I bought this, because it has a broader spectrum for killing. This stuffs poisonous to mice cats rats and other unwanted pests, but I hear cypher works better for bugs.

Great Flea and insect pest control!
By John in Sacramento, CA on September 1, 2014
This product knocked down our backyard flea problem in less than a day. We had hundreds of fleas due to some feral cats that had kittens under our deck. It was awful. Our dogs were really suffering. One pass around the yard in the morning and by the evening the "white sock" test produced NO fleas. Great product. Mixed with IGR and still no fleas after 2 weeks. I also should note that DMOPC was really great. Our first shipment was lost by the USPS and they sent a new order, no charge immediately. Best service ever!

Made the party GREAT !!!
By Wally in Belle Plaine Mn on August 2, 2014
I have tried many things but now this works. Live in the country and have a fireworks party each year, the gnats and mosquitos are out for blood. I have tried many things with no results, but I sprayed the area the day before and the day of the party this year and it was totally bug free, everyone enjoyed the show and stayed much later afterwards.

Used it on my yard to control chiggers. I seem to have a lot of them Since then I've been out weedwacking and no bites! Hopefully, this is the end of them. I plan another treatment in a week or so as a back up.

Mixed a sprayed as per directed with great results. The target was chiggers around our Oklahoma acreage. They are gone as well as all the mud wasps, paper wasps ,spiders and black beetles. Even the flies are thinned considerably! I can hardly wait for cricket season! If they have hatch I know I can knock them out with this mixture.

Sherri from Newport Beach, Ca. asked:
QWill Permethrin SFR kill black widow and brown recluse spiders? Is it safe for gardens, children, and pets?
will permethrin sfr get rid of black widows and brown widows or is there a better product for these spiders? Please tell me the dangers for small children, animals and an organic garden. Thank you
ABrown recluse spiders and black widow spiders share the same biology as every other species of spiders and are not any harder to kill than other spiders. Permethrin SFR is labeled for spiders and should do a great job in helping you eliminate spiders in and around your home. Permethrin SFR is safe around children and pets as long as they are kept out of the area during the application and they do not return to the area until it is dry. Permethrin SFR should not be used in an organic garden because it is a synthetic product and it is not labeled for use on most types of edible plants.
April 15, 2011 Sylvia asked:
QWhat is the ratio of water to Permethrin?
AYou did not mention a specific product, but we assume you are speaking of Permethrin SFR or something similar. You can use anywhere from 1 ounce to 3 ounces of Permethrin per gallon of water depending on what you are treating. You should read the product label for complete treating instructions.
May 26, 2010 Vic asked:
QCan you use Permethrin SFR indoors for fleas?
AYes, you can use Permethrin SFR indoors for fleas. You can also use it outside and directly on dogs(do NOT use on cats). Please read the product label for complete instructions.

Branch from Milton, Ma asked:
QUsing Permethrin SFR how many oz per quart water for mix of .5%?
AYou will need to use 1 2/3 fl. oz. for each gallon of water to get a 0.5% ratio. If you only need to mix one quart of solution at a time you will need to use just under 1/2 (0.43) oz of Permethrin SFR per quart of water to get a 0.5% mixture.
May 16, 2011 Nacho asked:
QCan I use Permethrin SFR on my dog? If so, how much product should I use per gallon of water?
I just got a 3 yr old pit bull and he has lots of ticks.
AYes, you can use Permethrin SFR on your dog. You should use ¼ fl. oz of product to 1¼ gallons water then thoroughly wet the animal to the skin with sponge or rag. Let drip dry. You can find these instructions on page 16 of the Permethrin SFR product label which we have linked in this answer for your convenience but is always available on the Permrthrin SFR product page.

Lillian from Landenberg, Pa asked:
QI want to mix Permethrin with mineral oil to brush on rollers of a 4 poster deer feeding station...
To help reduce tick populations in my area. What ratio should I use to achieve a 10% concentration? Thank you.
A Our apologies but we are not able to offer a dilution rate for getting a 10% concentration as the use you are intending is an off label usage of the Permethrin SFR and there are no instructions for mixing at that percentage on the product label. We would recommend checking with your department of Agricultural for the best advice for controlling deer tick populations around feeding stations.

Terry from Palm Shores Florida asked:
QI live in Florida & have several large long needle pine trees in the yard. Just moved here in October 2014.
Area was totally woods. they cleared the land to build my house. The remaining pine trees have the holes bored thru the pine bark, with lose pine bark falling off. Can I have any success in treating with an insecticide?
A Infected trees should be cut down (before the newly hatched beetles fly out of the trees in the spring/summer) and the wood burned or chipped, while other still healthy trees should be sprayed annually to protect them. Because of the natural boring behavior of the beetle they are protected from topically applied insecticides and systemic insecticides (those injected into the tree or applied as a root drench) have proven ineffective for pine beetle infestations. Healthy trees can be protected before the beetles attack by topically spraying them with a product calledPermethrin SFR. The tree should be sprayed from the ground to 15 ft up the trunk to prevent future infestations.

Kevin from Malvern,ar asked:
QCan you apply Permethrin SFR directly to a dog i.e. on shoulder blades, back & tail area like the spot on flea?
Yes, Permethrin SFR is labeled to be used directly on animals. Please check the label for specific instructions on how to apply to your dog. This product is not labeled for cats. We do have ZoGuard Plus for Dogs that is labeled for fleas. Invert one tube over dog and use open end to part dog's hair. Squeeze tube firmly to apply all of the solution to the dog's skin as a spot on the dog's back between the shoulder blades. Use entire contents of tube vial on each dog. Do not use multiple tubes on one dog. Weigh your dog to be sure you are applying the right dose formulated for the weight of your dog. Separate the treated dog from all other dogs and cats for 24 hours after treatment has been applied.
