Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray is an insect growth regulator (IGR) and residual insecticide for controlling fleas, ticks, ants and cockroaches. Precor 2000 Plus Premise prevents reinfestation and flea build-up for 7 months. Only works as an adulticide when used for ticks.
Tips: 1 x 16oz. can covers approx. 2000 sq. ft. of surface area. You should hold the can 3 feet above the carpet and no closer. If you hold it 3 feet away, the spray will be dry when it hits the carpet and you will get the proper coverage area out of the can. Treat in 10 second bursts. If you continually depress the can for longer than 10 seconds, the can will foam at the top. Also, the can is made to only work at room temperature. It will not work properly if the temps are below 70 degrees. Warm to room temp. first before using. You should get 7 to 8 minutes of continuous spraying per can.
| Active Ingredient: | Methoprene, Permethrin 0.50% |
| Target pests: | fleas and ticks. Will work for 2 weeks against adult fleas and ticks and kills flea eggs for 7 months. Very important to vacuum every 2 days for several weeks after treatment. This encourages Pupa to emerge and contact insecticide. |

Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray kills Fleas and Ticks. It contains a unique combination of ingredients that kills both adult and pre-adult (larvae) fleas. Precor 2000 Plus prevents reinfestation and flea build-up for 7 months. Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray reaches fleas hidden in carpets, rugs, drapes, upholstery, pet bedding and floor cracks. It doesn’t leave bad smells, stains or sticky mess. One can covers 2,000 square feet. 16 oz.
Fleas:
Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray contains Permethrin and Phenothrin to kill adult fleas fast. It also contains Methoprene (an insect growth regulator) to prevent reinfestation for up to seven months. Methoprene penetrates deep into the base of carpet and upholstery fibers, where pre-adult fleas live and targets fleas in the egg and larval stages of development, preventing them from producing new infestations of breeding, biting adults.
How do I use Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray to treat for fleas?
- Identify treatment areas: especially those where pets frequent, such as in and around pet's sleeping and resting areas. These are the primary areas where fleas, their eggs, and ticks are found. (Before treatment, a test application should be made to upholstery, drapery, light-colored, delicate fabrics, or wood surfaces in an inconspicuous place.)
- Prepare treatment areas: For best results with Surface/Carpet treatments, vacuum thoroughly before spraying and discard vacuum bag in outside trash. (This product may also be used for infested surfaces inside motor vehicles.)
- Apply treatment. For flea/tick infestations, a single can treats 2000 square feet. Hold container upside down 2-3 feet from surface, point actuator towards the surface and push button. Using a sweeping motion, apply a light uniform spray to all surfaces of furniture, rugs, carpets, drapes, and around all pet resting areas. Avoid thoroughly wetting surfaces. Mist treated areas only until "slightly damp". Do not over-treat. Reapply in 14 days, if necessary. IMPORTANT: Only complete and proper application to carpets, upholstery, drapes, and other fabrics will provide thorough flea/tick elimination. Keep children and pets out of areas during treatment. Vacate room after treatment, and ventilate until surfaces are dry before reoccupying.
- For best results, eliminate fleas on pets with an approved flea product like Petcor Flea Spray or a product recommended by your veterinarian.

I have a lot of pets and had a perpetual flea problem until I started using the Precor 2000 Plus Premise spray and now I do not see a flea at all. Used regularly, once a month in my fur-filled home, and you will not have a flea problem anymore. I have used about every other product out there and Precor is the best by far. This stuff works!

It's the best for flea and tick control
By Sheila on June 11, 2010
Verified Purchase
I've used this product for years and it's the best. If a flea or tick rides into the house on your pet, it will die. It won't have time to lay eggs, but eggs would not live either. One can treats my entire 1300 sq ft house for 7 months on a clean carpet. What I really like is that it doesn't have an aroma that aggravates my allergies. Once the product settles down after spraying, it's odorless.

The only thing that worked for me
By Kenya on September 19, 2011

I recently discovered a flea infestation in my apartment a few weeks ago. I've never experienced a problem like this before, as we have an indoor only cat, so I had no idea what I was up against. I got my cat to the vet and on Revolution, and then looked around online trying to figure out the best way to kill the fleas in the apartment. We used bombs at first, but that didn't seem to do anything at all. There were just as many fleas. I vacuumed every inch of the apartment every day, and while that did help some, it still didn't get rid of all the fleas, and they were still jumping on me and my husband. I tried a couple of flea carpet sprays from the store, but those didn't work very well. I tried using boric acid, and that killed some of them, but it didn't kill them all, and we were still getting bit up from fleas. I even tried using one of those flea traps, but that didn't catch too many. The whole situation was a nightmare! I figured I needed something stronger and something that could really get down into the carpets, so I got back online and did some research. I had heard about Precor in the past, but ignored it, as I thought I could take care of the flea problem myself with store bought products. Defeated by everything else I had tried, I typed in Precor to see what others had to say about it on forums, and the majority of people had good results with it. Precor 2000 Plus was recommended, so I figured I'd try it. I was very skeptical at first, as I had already tried so many other things that didn't work. I ordered the Precor on a Tuesday, and it was delivered to me at work on Friday. My cat had a vet appointment that day, so I had her stay at the vet all day while I sprayed the apartment. I went home for lunch that day, and started spraying. Very very strong smelling stuff. Very "chemically". I had on a mask, though. I opened the doors and windows before I sprayed, but the fumes are still really strong while you're spraying. I got everything sprayed: carpets, floors, couch, chairs, under the bed, closets, window sills, baseboards, etc. I left all the windows open, fans blowing, and air conditioning on, so the place could air out, and then went back to work. After work and picking up my cat from the vet, I came home. The floors and everything was dry, although there was still a little of the Precor smell lingering (the rest disappeared after a little longer). I took off my shoes and walked around the carpet. Nothing. No fleas. Not one! I was still a little skeptical wondering if one would jump on my feet and ankles, but nothing did. It's been 3 days now, and still have not seen even one flea! Not even when walking around in white socks! I read somewhere that it's best to keep vacuuming everyday for 2 weeks after applying this product, to encourage any eggs to hatch into the spray residue, and I am doing that. Ah, it's so nice to be able to relax when at home, without getting bit up by fleas! This product is a God send, and I will definitely be ordering another can to have on hand!

Best stuff hands down!
By Greg on March 19, 2010I purchased this stuff mid-summer last year. My dog and cat were bringing in fleas like crazy. One treatment (2 cans) for the whole house, and not a single flea after that. I sprayed on my couch and 5 days later I lifted the cushion and dead fleas everywhere. This is well worth the price.

Yikes! Fleas!
By Peggy on May 20, 2013

Almost overnight we had a flea infestation. The vet said it was because of a warm, rainy winter. Just what fleas love. Initially, because one grandson has asthma, I really didn't want to spray the inside of our house. We treated the yard twice and the dog 3 times and still couldn't get a handle on the situation. After about 3 weeks of making no real progress, I ordered the Precore 2000, opened the house up for the day and got busy treating carpets, baseboards, and furniture. This product works great! The 'flea numbers' began to drop. Because we were going to be out of town for the first week-end in May, I did a last minute vacuuming and sprayed again. Praise God! We are flea free!

Score!
By Tamra on May 14, 2013I had an infestation so bad I ALMOST JUST MOVED. I'm highly allergic to fleas as well. I easily had 200+ bites on me. You name it, I tried it to rid myself of these bastards. Googled and tried every remedy available... then this. WITHIN 2 DAYS OF SPRAYING I HAD ZERO FLEAS. I cried I was so happy. In addition, I also spray my lawn with that stuff you can attach to your garden hose. Life is good again. I order from epestsolutions. FREE SHIPPING !!

Precor 2000 +/-

I have used 2000 before. It quickly and conveniently provides large area coverage of floors and other low sites. Limitations include: the inability to discharge at areas above the user and injection under appliances, low furniture, etc. Something else, with a long tube, is needed. (Obviously, an insecticide tank with various nozzles.)

Doesn't seem to work

No stars actually. I purchased this for ticks in the house. We sprayed everywhere once then again 2 weeks later. What convinced me it wasn't working was when I put 2 ticks in 2 separate ziplocks. One I sprayed till it was wet and the other I just misted some in the bag. Both were alive and moving even after 2 days.

Mixed
By Robert on February 5, 2013

The mix of igr and two kills effectively kill fleas in all stages. QC is another matter: holding the valve open for more than 5 seconds usually leads to liquid drops falling on the floor. That is, when used indoors at close to 70 F. I plan to continue using it until learning about something better.

I think this happens to be the best compared to all other Sprays I have used in the last 2 years. The Fleas are less but not yet completely eliminated. I may have to use a few more cans over the next few months to completely eliminate these Chiggers.

QCan cats stay in the house while I spray Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray or do they need to be removed?
I have 2 house cats. Can they stay in the house while I spray Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray or do they need to be removed? Could I put them in one room and then do that room after?
AYour cats do not need to leave the house. You should do exactly as you suggested. Place the cats in another room while you are treating and wait 30 minutes for the Precor 2000 Plus Premise to dry. Once the product has dried, it is perfectly safe to allow the cats back into the room.
July 28, 2010 Mimi asked:
QHow do you treat your clothes for fleas?
Do fleas live in clothing? Our kitten would jump into our bottom drawers of our dresser. Should I wash all clothing or just open the drawers of the dresser when treating our home with Precor 2000?
AClothes should not be sprayed with any type of insecticide. All clothing that could be infested should be washed and dried. Dry Clean only clothes in most cases can simply go through the dryer for about 30 minutes. Be sure the dryer is on a setting that will reach at least 120F as this is the temperature that will kill the insects and their eggs.
March 24, 2010 Megan asked:
QI have fleas in my house. Is there a pesticide I can use to spray the carpet area in my meaving room?
APrecor 2000 Plus Premise Spray is an aerosol spray that comes ready to use, no mixing required. Precor 2000 contains 2 insecticides to kill adult fleas fast. It also contains an insect growth regulator to prevent reinfestation for up to seven months. Vacuuming is very important when treating for fleas. For best results, vacuum thoroughly before spraying and discard or empty vacuum bag in outside trash.Continue vacuuming frequently to help remove flea eggs and flea debris. Heavy infestations may require retreatment after 14 days.
September 2, 2009 Keely asked:
QWill Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray damage my real hardwood flooring?
ANo, Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray is perfectly safe on just about any surface. You should always test the spray first in a corner or inconspicuous area to be sure, but we have never had any issues. Remember to vacuum all surfaces and cracks and crevices of the hardwood floor and around baseboards first before you apply Precor 2000. You should also vacuum often over the next week and apply again exactly 14 days later after your first application. Be sure to vacuum again before your second treatment.
August 8, 2010 Heather asked:
QIs it safe to spray Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray in a home with a baby?
AThere should be no problem using Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray in a home with a baby, as long as you follow the product label. The infant should be out of the home during the application and can return after the product is dry and the home has been vented.

Thad from Clayton, Nc asked:
QShould I avoid spraying the carpet with Precor 2000 for fear of skin contact with the spray?
One of the Q/A says not to spray furniture on top so that skin contact is minimized, but what about on carpet where kids will be on the floor? It seems like there would a lot of skin contact on the carpet. Also one Q/A talks about spraying around beds but not on them. How does that kill the fleas on the bed if it's just sprayed on the floor?
AThe manufacturer has recently updated their product information to "Only complete and proper
application to carpets, upholstery, drapes, and other fabrics will provide thorough flea/tick
elimination. Keep people and pets out of areas during treatment. Vacate room after treatment, and ventilate until surfaces are dry before reoccupying." This new product information means that you could spray the entire piece of upholstered furniture if you wish. Having said that, eggs and pupa will not be found out in the middle of the couch cushion so we would still recommend that you concentrate your application to tufts, folds, voids and crevices as this is where the fleas would be developing. Also, you could spray your mattress if you choose but most folks find that simply vacuuming the mattress will eliminate the fleas on the mattress and that insecticide applications are unnecessary.

Thad from Clayton, Nc asked:
QDo I need to spray the carpet in the middle of the room? How long does Precor stay in the carpet?
If it needs to be reapplied after 2 weeks, then how long does it stay in the carpet if it is suppose to work for 7 months?
AYou need to spray the entire carpet for flea control. The IGR does last for 7 months to prevent re-infestation but the eggs that were laid prior to the application will keep hatching because they are not sterile and the reapplication is to kill the newly emerged fleas.

Patty from Altamonte Springs asked:
QIs Precor 2000 Plus odorless and is it toxic to people?
APrecor 2000 does have a bit of an odor as do all aerosols though we have never had a complaint that the odor is very strong or that it lingers. As long as you follow the product label and stay out of treated area until it has dried the toxicity level is relatively low.
July 26, 2012 Lynnmarie asked:
QI have an aquarium. should i cover it? with what?
my fish aquarium has a cover but lots of holes. i am thinking of using a plastic dropcloth, sheet or shower curtain to cover it, is that advisable? or should i remove the aquarium and take it outside? its very heavy and i cannot lift it alone. i'm single with noone to help.
AYou should cover and unplug the aquarium before spraying as this is what is recommended on the Precor 2000 product label.

Anna from Texas asked:
QHow do I apply Precor 2000 on a two story home?
I live in a two story town home, most of the stuff upstairs, where we have carpet, had to be taken down stairs in order to apply Precor 2000 easily. We are trying to get rid of the fleas up stairs before treating downstairs. Since most of our stuff is now downstairs and also have fleas downstairs, can I treat one story at a time or will the fleas from down stairs be going upstairs? What is the best way to apply on a 2 story home?
AYou should plan on treating upstairs and downstairs at the same time so you are not constantly re-infesting the treated areas by carrying fleas from one part of the house to the other. Remember to vacuum all surfaces and cracks and crevices of the floor and around baseboards first before you apply Precor 2000. You should also vacuum often over the next week and apply again exactly 14 days later after your first application. Be sure to vacuum again before your second treatment.

June 19, 2012
Debbie from Cary, Nc asked:
QIs it safe to spray Precor 2000 on couches and couch pillows?
APrecor 2000 Plus should only be sprayed under couch cushions and into the creases and tucks and folds of the fabric. Since fleas don't develop out in the open there is no need to spray the areas where you will becoming into frequent skin contact. We recommend thoroughly vacuuming all of the furniture to help remove fleas, eggs and larva which will help speed along the elimination process.
June 10, 2012
Ann from Nc asked:
QShould I vacuum the next day after the Precor 2000 treatment?
We did the whole house but I still feel little stings around my legs (no bites).
AIt is our recommendation and industry standard that you vacuum immediately before the application of Precor 2000 and every day or every other day after the application for the next two weeks. Vacuums can physically remove a decent percentage of flea eggs that are in the carpet, along with much of the organic crud that the flea larvae feed on. A critical part of the diet of the larva is dried blood, present there as fecal material from the fleas that are on the pets. Wherever the pets spend time they will shed the fecal matter and the eggs, so it is extremely important that you focus on these potential hot spots where the pets sleep. A vacuum also will remove a small percentage of larvae, but the larva is pretty tenacious, and will wrap around the carpet fibers down there at the base of the pile, and hold on for dear life as the vacuum passes by. The pupa is even tougher to physically remove, for it uses fibers as part of its "cocoon". But, the vacuum will stimulate the flea adults still in their pupa form to quickly emerge as the adult, and at this point perhaps be sucked up in the vacuum. Even if they are not removed by the vacuum, at least they now are exposed and susceptible to your treatment. After two weeks most infestations require that you do a second application of the Precor 2000 and continue with the vacuuming.

J. from Houston, Tx asked:
QHow long is the residual effect of Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray? Is the residual effect shortened or removed by mopping or steam cleaning?
AIf you mop the floors or steam clean the carpets where Precor 2000 has been applied you will be effectively removing any residual control you would have gotten from the application. You should mop and steam clean prior to the application and you can mop and steam clean two weeks after the application.

Sarah from Fort Walton Beach, Fl asked:
QIs Precor 2000 plus premise spray safe in/on cabinets?
I noticed that precor is rated for both roaches and fleas. Two common problems for me. Naturally the roaches almost exclusively pop up in the kitchen or occasionally I'll find one in the cabinets dead. Is precor2000 safe to use in cabinets if I remove the food and kitchen utensils and then replace them after the precor dries? Or do you recommend another product for this purpose?
AYou should not spray Precor 2000 Plus Premise spray in your cabinets. You can spray it low around baseboards where roaches also like to hide. Up high in your cabinets you should use a roach bait gel such as Maxforce Roach Bait Gel. Using a roach bait gel in your cabinets has two benefits. 1. you will only be applying the product in cracks and crevices and will not be contaminating food or dishes. 2. the roaches will eat the bait and then because the bait works with a delayed reaction the roach will have time to go back to the nesting area and spread the bait. Most professionals also choose to bait on counters and in cabinets and then spray down low around the food area for safety reasons and also because it helps get rid of those roaches that like to stay hidden in the nesting area.
