Product Overview

BlueMax Mini Blocks Rodenticide has the most effective and most advanced active ingredient in the rodent control market, difethialone. BlueMax is also great because the bait doesn't get scattered around as much as the competition does, making it much easier to clean up, and fits the requirements of commercial and food processing customers. BlueMax Rodenticide also features great weatherability and mold protection, keeping the product much longer lasting. Use this where crumbs and scatter are a concern. Place these in areas with mold potential and or humid, moist baiting conditions. Great maintenance bait for audited accounts.

Note: Due to California state restrictions, this product cannot be sold to California residents.

Q
Is it safe for a cat to eat a mouse that has eaten BlueMax Mini Blocks Rodenticide?
A

A mouse only consumes a very small amount of BlueMax Mini Blocks Rodenticide or other baits at a time and passes it very quickly, only keeping a smaller amount in their liver until they succumb to the effects of the bait. A cat would have to actually eat 20-30 mice that have consumed the bait for it to have any effect. In most cases, well fed, domesticated animals will not actually eat a mouse or a rat that they come across. Instead, they will play with it, chew it and then leave it behind.

Q
Would BlueMax Mini Blocks Rodenticide be safe around horses and horse feed?

I live on a horse Farm and have both mice and large rats. If we put this down around the their food and a horse accidentally ate some, would it harm the horse in any way?

A

The BlueMax Mini Blocks and any rodenticide you use would need to be placed in bait stations and should not be used loose in the feed. You would not want the bait to be available to the horses at all as it would be toxic. Protecta Sidekick Bait Stations would be ideal for rats and mice to feed within and securely store the bait so that only the rodents can access it, and its protected from the elements.
