HOW IT WORKS

Homeowners, gardeners, professional landscapes and commercial growers have discovered Liquid Fence Deer & Rabbit Repellent Concentrate, stops deer and rabbit damage. Unlike other deer and rabbit repellents that require the animals to browse to be effective, Liquid Fence Deer & Rabbit Repellent Concentrate works on scent, so deer and rabbits don't even have to take a bite to be repelled. Because the animals natural aversions to this scent will never diminish, this product DOES NOT have to be rotated with other repellent brands.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

SHAKE WELL before each use. Add 12.8 fl oz of Liquid Fence Deer & Rabbit Repellent Concentrate for each gallon of water and thoroughly mix. With garden sprayer or sprinkler, apply liberally to plants and their perimeter during a dry period. Repeat process one week later and then approximately once per month thereafter. Areas where feeding pressure from deer and rabbits is intense, spray once a week for three weeks and then approximately once per month thereafter. Please note: when using this product you may notice an odor. However, once it dries, the odor will not be noticeable to humans, but still very noticeable to animals.

how to keep your hostas and bushes safe

    By Michael on 05/02/2013

    Verified Purchase

This stuff works fantastically! I start as soon as my hostas start out of the ground, using a quart sprayer, just a little spritz. Then once a week a little dab on the emerging foliage. When most of the plants are approaching maturity, I mix up 2 gallons and go to work. Pretty much saturate all of my plants. Once I do this step, forget about the deer. They practically do a back flip to get out of my yard. I go in a couple of months later, and give them another good dose. After that, I will dose if I see any browsing. End of season, after leaves are shed, I give the bushes susceptible to browsing another dose to stop any winter browse. Stinks like sin for a couple of days, small price to pay for the protection I get.

    Liquid Fence Deer-Rabbit Repellent

    By Dave on 06/19/2012

This stuff works best on Deer . Rabbits won't come close either the day you spray but after two or three days the rabbits were back. Deer will come no closer than a 150ft. after a week or two. this is better than trying to put up a fence.

    Excellent 100% when used religiously

    By Rhalec on 05/02/2013

Our deer population is overwhelming! I have used this product for years on azaleas, hostas, and daylillies, and it has been essentially 100% effective against deer when applied every 2-3 weeks. I use it directly on the plants I wish to protect, rather than as a general barrier.

Doesn't work for keeping rabbits out of boundary area

    By Leeann on 10/01/2012

I laid down a wide boundary area around my yard, to keep the rabbits out, since my dogs eat their droppings. It didn't work whatsoever because the day after, there were still LOTS of new areas of droppings inside the boundary area.

Q
What are some proven methods for stopping rabbits from digging holes in my yard?

Aside from shooting them. I think the police would frown upon me shooting them with a pellet gun seeing as I live in a residential area.

A

Rabbits can be hard to control because they reproduce quickly and stay hidden much of the time. Trapping and removing rabbits from your property is the only sure way to stop them from digging holes in the yard (at least the only sure way that won't involve the police showing up on your door step). There are several baits that work well to lure rabbits into rabbit traps. Brussels sprouts, carrots, lettuce, or apples would all be good choices. Some trappers even swear by spraying the inside of the trap with apple cider to help lure the rabbits in. You should check with local authorities to see if you can release the animals in a new location or if they must be destroyed. Another option would be to try a rabbit repellent such as Liquid Fence for Rabbits or Plant Pro-Tec Rabbit Repellent. Repellents, depending on the brand would need to be applied every 1-4 weeks to help keep the rabbits from coming into the treated areas.

We have a lot of rain between dry spell so I may have to spray more often doing the week.

A

Liquid Fence Deer Rabbit Repellent Concentrate 113 is labeled to be applied once a week at first and then once a month.  It is rain resistant so should not need to be applied more often than that.

Q
So you spray liquid fence "on" your flowers and plants, or just "around" them?
A
According to the Liquid Fence Deer Rabbit Repellent product label: Apply Liquid Fence Deer and Rabbit RTU liberally to plants and their perimeter during a dry period. Repeat process 1 week later and then approximately once per month thereafter. Areas where feeding pressure from deer and rabbits is intense, spray Liquid Fence Deer & Rabbit Repellent once a week for 3 weeks and then approximately once per month thereafter. We do recommend that you avoid spraying blooms directly as blooms are delicate and could bruise.

Q
Should Liquid Fence be applied to the whole area or around the perimeter?
A

Liquid Fence products should be applied around the perimeter of the areas you want to protect, like a fence.

How to use: Apply Liquid Fence Deer and Rabbit liberally to plants and their perimeter during a dry period. Repeat process 1 week later and then approximately once per month thereafter. Areas where feeding pressure from deer and rabbits is intense, spray Liquid Fence Deer & Rabbit Repellent once a week for 3 weeks and then approximately once per month thereafter.
