| Q | Is Cynoff EC safe to use with a well on the property? I just need to know that using this isn't going to hurt my well water. I also have horses and dogs on the property - what precautions should I use?
| A | All people (except for the applicator) and animals need to be out of the area when Cynoff EC is being applied and they can return as soon as the area is dry. You should not treat closer than 15 ft to the well. Synthetic pyrethroids like Cynoff EC will not reconstitute once they are dry and are not known to move through the soil. |

| Q | How long is the residual effect Cynoff EC expected to last? Cynoff EC is a residual pest control product. When used indoors I would expect it to be effective longer than when used outdoors. I read that it should be applied every two weeks for proper control of fleas, but that seems like a very short residual effect. So, how frequently should I treat with Cynoff EC for control of ants, roaches and flies?
| A | Cynoff EC can be expected to last up to 30 days outdoors and up to 60 days indoors. UV light and rain outside can deplete the residual outside, but UV light is the main culpret. If one side of your home is in direct sunlight all day, then you may only get 3 weeks out of the product. For fleas specifically it is a good idea to treat once and then again exactly two weeks later because fleas hatch every two weeks and your chances are better if the product is stronger than weaker. After the first two treatments you should be able to only apply every 30 to 60 days for maintenance control. |

| Q | Will Cynoff EC kill a yellow jacket nest in the ground? If so, how should it be applied?
| A | Cynoff EC will kill a yellow jacket nest in the ground. If you know where the entry point is then you should mix a gallon of product in a one gallon hand pump sprayer. Once you have a mixed a gallon worth of solution, remove the adjustable nozzle off of the end of the sprayer so the solution flows out of the wand of the sprayer quickly instead of spraying out of the nozzle slowly. You should place the nozzle in the exit/entry hole and flood the opening until the solution back flows out of the hole signaling you have filled the entire void in the ground. It is best to do this at night or early morning using a flashlight when all of the bees are in the ground and less active. |

| Q | How long after I spray will Cynoff EC kill fleas (does it kill on contact)?
| A | Cynoff EC will kill adult fleas very quickly after application. However, it will only kill adult fleas, and will not affect the larvae or eggs. You should add Precor IGR to this product when applying for fleas so you can prevent emerging larvae from reaching the adult stage before they can reproduce. Cynoff EC and Precor IGR would need to be applied every two weeks for proper control. With any flea population, if treating inside you must vacuum thoroughly daily for a week before and after your treatment to promote egg hatching and good control. |
