Q. Will Cynoff EC kill a yellow jacket nest in the ground? If so, how should it be applied?
A. Cynoff EC will kill a yellow jacket nest in the ground.  If you know where the entry point is then you should mix a gallon of product in a one gallon hand pump sprayer.  Once you have a mixed a gallon worth of solution, remove the adjustable nozzle off of the end of the sprayer so the solution flows out of the wand of the sprayer quickly instead of spraying out of the nozzle slowly.  You should place the nozzle in the exit/entry hole and flood the opening until the solution back flows out of the hole signaling you have filled the entire void in the ground.  It is best to do this at night or early morning using a flashlight when all of the bees are in the ground and less active.
Q. How long after I spray will Cynoff EC kill fleas (does it kill on contact)?
A. Cynoff EC will kill adult fleas very quickly after application.  However, it will only kill adult fleas, and will not affect the larvae or eggs.  You should add Precor IGR to this product when applying for fleas so you can prevent emerging larvae from reaching the adult stage before they can reproduce.  Cynoff EC and Precor IGR would need to be applied every two weeks for proper control.  With any flea population, if treating inside you must vacuum thoroughly daily for a week before and after your treatment to promote egg hatching and good control.
