  • Asked by Lynn from Bismarck, Nd

    Q
Will Tempo kill slugs if sprayed around the base of plants where slugs lurk?
    A
Tempo is not labeled to control slugs. Slugs put down a continuous layer of mucus which makes it impossible for dried deposits of insecticide sprays to reach the actual slug. You will need to use a slug bait such as Sluggo Plus or Hi-Yield Improved Slug and Snail Bait to control the slugs near your plants.

    Q
Will Tempo SC Ultra kill fruit trees if you spray it on them directly?
    A
Tempo SC Ultra will not kill a fruit tree but is not labeled to be used on any fruit trees. We do carry another product called Bayer Advanced Vegetable and Fruit Spray which contains the same active ingredient Cyfluthrin but in a different formulation which allows it to be used on edible vegetation.

    Q
How long should I wait before watering after using Tempo SC Ultra on the lawn?
    A

Most insecticides like Tempo SC Ultra are going to be rainfast within 6 hours of drying. We typically suggest waiting about 24 hours if possible before resuming irrigation or having rainfall to ensure the maximum residual will be observed from the product.

  • Asked by Philip from Monrovia, Ca

    Q
Is Tempo Ultra SC better than Demand CS?
I have been using Demand CS for periodic pest control, and the result is good. Now I am looking into other alternatives that is more powerful than Demand CS. I am kind of looking into getting the Tempo Ultra SC this time. Does it work the same as Demand CS with more power? What are the major differences between the two?
    A

Tempo SC Ultra and Demand CS contain different active ingredients, but both are classified as a synthetic pyrethroid, so they really are very similar in the way that they work and the pests that they will control.  One is not necessarily better or stronger than the other.

  • Asked by John

    Q
Is Tempo SC Ultra resistant to rain?
I will be spraying my siding for stink bugs, and it will have time to dry. It will eventually rain. Since it is water based, will it just wash away? If so, can you recommend another product?
    A
Tempo SC Ultra will hold up to rain just fine.  All of the professional grade liquid products that we sell are made to stick to porous surfaces.  What really breaks down the residual of products is UV sunlight.  The side of your home that is in direct sunlight most of the day is much more of an issue than rain.  Since stink bugs are so bad right now, we are recommending treating every 3 to 4 weeks with Tempo SC Ultra.  Typically, Tempo SC Ultra should last a good 60 days around most parts of your home.

    Q
Which product is better for general around use? Tempo SC or Cy-Kick CS?
Which product is better for general around use? Tempo SC or Cy-Kick CS.
    A
We could not really answer that question because both are very popular and they basically treat the same pests and are applied the same way.  We sell the same amount of both products and the customer feedback is outstanding on both products.  It comes down to personal preference.  Our philosophy is that if you have used one or the other in the past with good results, then you should continue to use that one.  Please be sure to read our customer reviews on the product pages.  Who better to recommend a product than our actual customers using it in the real world.

  • Asked by Randy from Ardmore Ok

    Q
Can I use Tempo SC Ultra on vegetable gardens?
can i use tempo on garden: beans, peas ,tomatoes, corn etc?
    A
Tempo SC Ultra can not be used on any type of edible vegetation so this product would not work for your needs. You could use something like Thuricide or Fertilome Triple Action Plus depending on what insects you are trying to treat for. Both of those products are specifically designed to kill insects on edible crops without causing any harm to the food it is sprayed on. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Per the Tempo SC Ultra label you are to wear safety glasses, goggles, or face shield and a dust/mist respirator when treating overhead areas.  If you are treating in confined, unventilated areas a respirator would be needed. • Asked by Th from Springfield, Va

    Q
Will Tempo SC Ultra hurt my cat when she grooms herself?
Our exterminator sprayed inside the house along the baseboards and windowsills. When my cat is in the window or laying alongside the baseboard will she pick up the residual poison and ingest that when she licks her fur to groom? I'm regretting letting him talk me into spraying inside. He told me it was very safe around pets but then he didn't tell us to stay out of the room while he was spraying. How do I clean it off where he sprayed and get rid of it if I decide it's too risky?
    A
Tempo SC Ultra  is safe around pets. Yes, the pet should not re enter the room until the treated area has dried. If you decide you want to clean the treated area, you want to use hot water and soap to remove the chemical.

    Q
What is the difference between the Tempo SC Ultra and Tempo Ultra WP?
    A

Tempo SC Ultra is a  concentrated water based liquid insecticide that will need to be mixed with water. Tempo Ultra WP is a wettable powder that is also mixed with water. Both products contain the same active ingredient and will provide similar results. Tempo Ultra WP will do a better job on porous surfaces as it will stay on the surface and be more available to insects. Tempo SC Ultra, on the other hand, will dry clear and will not leave behind the powdery residue that Tempo Ultra WP can.
