    Can you use Tri-Die for bedbugs?
    If I understand correctly, you can spray Tri Die on the fold and tufts on your mattress and box spring to instantly kill bedbugs. It has the residual effect of silica gel or DE for future killing. Is this correct?

    Tri-Die does contain pyrethrins which offers a fast knockdown of insects when they are sprayed directly, and also contains silica gel for residual control.

    According to the product label, "Take bed apart and treat cracks, joints and interior of framework. Mattresses and box springs should be treated especially tufts, folds, and edges. Picture frames, moldings and all cracks and crevices in the room should also be treated."

    Does the silica gel in Tri-Die kill ants?

    Yes, the silica gel in Tri-Die can kill ants. The silica gel left behind as a residual will cling to their exoskeletons and desiccate them.

    Tri-Die is also subject to clogging, unfortunately that is just the nature of aerosol dusts. If you follow the tip below, you can help prevent any aerosol dust from clogging:

    Tip: To prevent aerosol dust from clogging, make sure to turn the can upside down after each period of use and spray until just air leaves the canister.  This will clear the nozzle and keep it from oozing, and prevent clogging.

    Can I use "Tri Die" to treat for Wood Carpenter Bees?
    I know Delta Dust is the thing to use then plug hole, but I had someone come and treat my porch and they used a wet spray that dried to a powder that was called "Tri-Die". I read the label on the can for what it kills and it never listed carpenter bees (or any bees for that matter).... Although they were dropping left and right... Is it safe to say that "Tri-Die" will also work in killing these carpenter bees?

    Tri-Die contains the active ingredients Pyrethrins and Silica Gel. This combination of active ingredients offers a pretty fast knockdown and residual control of lots of insects, even those the product is not labeled for.

    Why did more bees show up after I sprayed Tri Die?
    I have a little front porch with a roof that covers the entryway. I went outside to spray this in pretty much all the cracks (with the little clear tube that comes with it) and esp. sprayed where I have seen bees hovering around. I sprayed where the exterior wall meets the roof and mostly around the cracks nearest to the doorway. I went to mow the lawn after, and then came back to the front door when I was done and there were two big beefy wasps buzzing and hovering around the porch! And no there is a big carpenter bee too! I don't know if maybe I sprayed a nest? I really don't know how/why they could be attracted to it, but is that possible? I know it sounds silly but I have no idea what the heck is going on now lol. Any advice/thoughts?

    It sounds most likely that they are not attracted to the Tri Die. Instead you probably sprayed the areas they like to nest and now they cannnot enter so they are just hovering near the areas they used to go into.

    What area can a can of Tri-Die cover?
    How much coverage will one can of Tri-Die provide? For example, if you were to inject the product into holes along a floor into a wall (as I am doing), how much wall could one realistically do? 10 feet, 100 feet?

    There is not a coverage area on the product label, because it really all depends on how and what you are treating, and the person that is applying the product is a factor as well.  You do not need a lot of dust per hole or application.  The product comes with a straw that has holes in it so it literally shoots the dust in all directions in a void.  The product label states: Use Tri-Die with the supplied actuator and injection
    tubes. Inject Tri-Die into cracks and crevices or void spaces where insects may be harboring, living and
    breeding. Place injector tip into cracks, crevices, holes and other small openings. Release approximately one second of product. Move injector tip along cracks while treating at the rate of three linear feet per second. For closed voids calculate the void’s cubic area and treat at the rate of three to five seconds per three cubic feet. For closed void areas drill small access holes. Several holes may be required in long-running voids. This product can leave a white residue. This residue can normally be removed with a damp cloth or sponge. 

    Based on the verbiage on the product label of only releasing the product for 1 second per hole, we would imagine you could probably do close to 100 feet of wall space.  This is just an estimate.

    Is Tri-Die better than other dust formulas?
    Is this Aerosol just as effective as the Powder? And do you still need a hand duster since it's in the aerosol form?

    Tri- Die pressurized dust offers a convenient, easy application with no additional equipment necessary. Pressurized, charged particles penetrate deep into cracks, crevices, wall and ceiling voids to provide an ideal uniform dust application, readily adhering to all surfaces. The unique 4-way red application straw can be used for void space application to deliver 360-degree coverage. Both the Tri-Die and the other dust insecticides will do the same job in the end but the Tri-Die may be easier to apply to wall voids.

    If Tri-Die was sprayed all over my whole house in floors, walls, furniture, cabinets, etc., is it safe?
    This guy came out to treat my home for brown recluse spiders. We had moved into our home and brought things from storage which contained the spiders. The guy absolutely covered the entire house with TRIDIE! I thought he was just going to spray cracks and crevices. He told us it was not safe to go back home for two days and nights. We went back home and our entire home, furniture, clothes, electronics, food in cabinets, just everything had a thick white powder on it. My home has been destroyed! Cleanup will take months!It looks like baby powder has been dumped all over my home. The floors are all white with powder and it's settled on the walls, light fixtures, window blinds and curtains.

    Unfortunately we cannot comment on work done by a pest control company. We can tell you that the product label instructions are law and the product label is available for you to review on our website. The product label does dictate that the product should be used in cracks, crevices, voids and small spot applications. If you feel like these product label instructions were violated we recommend you call your local health department right away. 

    We can also tell that the product label does not indicate that you must be out of your home for 2 days or nights when used as directed.

    Is Tri-Die animal safe?
    My problem is right outside my door in my two flower beds. I don't have flowers in there but there are wolf spiders, other spiders, centipedes, etc. I was wondering if I sprayed it, would it be harmful to my dogs (because they like to eat grass from there)? If it is harmful, how long should I wait to let my dogs out in that area?

    Tri-Die is animal safe when used as directed on the product label. Tri-Die must only be used in cracks, crevices and voids. You should not spray Tri-Die out into the flowerbeds. Talstar P would be a better choice for this type of treatment. It is gentle on plants, safe to use around pets and people and labeled for a wide variety of insects including spiders. Spiders can be a bit tougher to kill than other insects because they do not groom themselves and ingest the product like other insects and take longer to receive a lethal dose of the insecticide. Having said that, using Talstar P would also kill the other insects that the spiders need for food, forcing the spiders to move to better hunting grounds or starve. We would also like to add that spiders and centipedes outdoors are largely beneficial as they kill other insects such as roaches, mosquitoes, gnats, wasps, ants ..... To stop them from moving indoors you can spray around your door frames, window frames, in a band about 3 feet up the foundation and out onto the ground in a 3-5 foot band around the base of your home.

    Is Tri-Die harmful to breathe in?

    Tri-Die is a safe product to use but it is an aerosol dust product and it could cause irritation if it is inhaled. A dust mask should be worn to prevent dust inhalation. When applied according to the product label, directly into cracks, crevices and wall voids direct contact with the dust will be minimal.

    How long does Tri-Die last after applied into a crack & crevices?

    The pyrethrin in the Tri-Die will last for a couple of days but the silica gel will last until it is removed or covered up with debris.

    Should I worry about Tri-Die getting tracked into the house?
    Pest control sprayed for a bees nest and around the house for other insects. 20 minutes later I had a service man come to the house. I am nervous that he brought in the chemical on his shoes and clothes b/c I was told not to leave the house for 2 hours. Should I be worried that he carried something in?

    If the Tri Die was applied according to the instructions on the product label there should be no cause for concern.  It would be extremely unlikely that the service person would be able to accumulate enough product on his clothes or shoes in an amount that would be harmful just from walking up to your house.

    Can Tri-Die be used for pantry weevils?
    Also, is this safe to use in a cabinet where food will be stored (after spraying)?

    Yes, Tri-Die is labeled for weeviles in a pantry. We would recommend removing all the food items out of the pantry before spraying. You will spray the crack and crevices only inside of the pantry. Once the product dries, it is safe to put your food items back into the pantry.     Is Tri-Die safe for a home that has pets?

    Yes, as long as you follow the application instructions on the Tri-Die product label there is no danger to your pets.  Tri-Die is a dust that is meant to be applied in cracks and crevices and places that your pets should not be able to easily get too.  There fore there should be no issues between the product and your pets.

    Will Tri-Die kill roaches?

    Will a can of tri-die be okay if in the heat of my mailbox until I get home from work?
    I live in Arizona.

    A can of Tri Die will be fine to sit in your mailbox until you get home. You would just want to bring it to a cool temperature stable area once you retrieve it and keep it stored in that cool area throughout the duration of the cans use.

    My can of Tri-Die aerosol is clogged. How do I fix it?
    My new can of Tri-Die doesn't spray. I wonder if the nozzle is clogged, or there's some safety tab I didn't find. Any ideas?

    Sometimes the nozzle can get clogged during transit or if the Tri-Die can was exposed to low or very high temperatures for some reason.  Try running the application straw and the nozzle under hot water.  Also, be sure to shake very well before using.  Please call us at 866-581-7378 if you continue to have any issues.

    Does Tri-Die contain silica gel?
    I've read some comments about a silica gel that remains? Is that in this product or do I need to purchase it separately? I found tiny worms in my kitchen. They nested underneath my cabinets. We had to saw off the bottom of our cabinets to find their main area. I have taken everything out, vacumed, and wiped down with vinegar, had Orkin come spray, and sprayed cy kick spray 3 different times myself. With the last one being yesterday I still came home to find 2 more dead ones laying in my cabinets. It has been two months and I still have everything out of my cabinets. I desperatley want these things gone and want to put my kitchen back together. What product do you recommend?

    Yes, Tri-Die contains both silica gel and pyrethrins as active ingredients in a pressurized insecticide dust. This is an excellent insecticide for crack and crevice and void treatment for many common household insects. This product will not offer quick knockdown, but it lasts for months in undisturbed areas. In order to give you the best advice on your situation, we would need to know what specific pest you are treating. A variety of stored product pests such as grain moths are often found in kitchen areas, and the most important step to treating them would be locating and discarding the infested food items, followed by cleaning, sealing up harborage areas, and residual insecticides.
