The Hypro 6500 C-R roller Pump delivers up to 21.8 GPM and 300 PSI to guarantee a superior performance in heavy-duty application. The cast iron construction with Viton seals provides the best chemical resistance to ensure durability and long time service. It comes with 5/8 in. solid stainless steel shaft and has clockwise shaft rotation that directly couples to electric motors and gas engines. Counter-clockwise makes easy PTO adaptation. Per the manufacturer, yes, the Hypro 6500 C-R Roller Pump will work with a 6 HP motor with gear reduce as the gear reduction is a 6 to 1 (6:1) gear reduction.

Per the manufacturer, whatever engine you are using with the Hypro 6500 C-R Roller Pump would have have to have a 6 to 1 gear reduction on it. Without a gear reduction on the engine, it will not work.
