General Product Information:

Moles that burrow through soil are very troubling pest for homeowners and businesses alike. Moles are a nuisance in lawns and golf courses. Dr. T's Nature Products, Inc., developed Whole Control to repel moles. For ethical reasons, Dr. T's is temporarily refraining from repellency claims against voles or armadillos until all research on these animals is complete. Dr. T's Whole Control mole repellent is effective and should be used when raised ridges or surface tunnels and mounds appear. Moles expose plant roots to air causing wilting or death. Dr. T's Whole Control burrowing animal control promotes and restores lawn and garden areas by inhibiting the formation of burrows, tunnels, ridges, and holes that are caused by moles.

How does Whole Control work?

The active ingredient in Whole Control mole repellent is Castor Oil. Castor oil coats the animals' food source (roots, grubs and mole crickets) and causes stomach disruptions in the animals. However, it may take up to three weeks for Whole Control mole repellent to meet its maximum effectiveness level. The targeted animals must make the association between feeding in a particular area and the stomach disruptions before maximum repellency takes place.

Directions For Use:

Shake well before use. Attach a garden hose tightly on this self dispensing unit, turn water supply on to full pressure. Spray WHOLE CONTROL over the affected area at the rate of one quart of product per 5,000 sq. ft. for moles, voles and ground squirrels.  After the container is empty, adjust the spray nozzle to apply (WATER) and continue to spray with water, or use a sprinkler system to soak WHOLE CONTROL into the soil.

When To Apply:

Apply Whole Control or Mole Out when the first signs of digging, tunneling, and burrowing by animals first appear. For year round control, apply repellents during the spring, summer and fall. Do not apply directly into lakes, ponds, streams, or other standing water.

    Our Story

    By Diane on 05/09/2013

    Verified Purchase

We have been plagued with moles again this year. We've used Dr. T's products for 4 years primarily in one small lawn area but this year I bought a nice supply of the product and have broadened its coverage. If I find an open run I will actually spray the product right down that hole and they DO NOT return. We have been most successful with it by watering the areas heavily after we spray the product on as directed. It takes diligence and persistence, with alot less frustration than live trapping, but we do get results. I reapply as often as necessary to rid an area of the pesky varmints. Right now, we're enjoying a newly seeded area coming up without the aggravation of big brown mountains of dirt all over it. Thanks, Dr. T. DZ in Oregon

Q
Is your Whole Control Mole Repellent safe for pets?
A
Whole Control Mole Repellent is safe for pets as long as you follow the product label. Be sure all pets are out of the area while the application is being made and they can return as soon as the surface has dried. Whole Control Mole Repellent is a castor oil product and would most likely only cause stomach upset if your pet ingested grass from the treated area.

Q
Is there a spray to chase voles away?

Voles are getting into my garden.

A
We carry Dr. Ts Whole Control Repellent. This product is labeled for voles, but it does not actually chase voles away just by being sprayed. The voles would need to eat food items that have been sprayed with the Dr. Ts Whole Control Repellent a few times, then after they experienced stomach upset they would leave the area. Wooden snap traps also work very well for vole control. Simply place the trap directly into the voles runways.

Q
Will Whole Control Mole Repellent work on gophers?

I've been using the Giant Destroyer in my pasture to control gophers with some success. I am slowly running them off my property. I was wondering once there gone and I spray my fence line, would it help keep them away?

A
Dr. T Whole Control Mole Repellent works by coating the animals food source with castor oil. When the animal then repeatedly feeds on treated areas, they will experience stomach upset and then avoid the treated areas. Dr. T Whole Control Mole Repellent is only labeled to control and repel moles, so we cannot recommend it for gophers. Either the manufacturer has not tested it for gophers or they have and found that the product has not been effective for gophers.
