It is recommended the maximum use rate of InVict Blitz Ant Granules be applied on the initial application. InVict Blitz Ant Granules, a bait specifically designed to be palatable to Raspberry / Caribbean Crazy ants.  InVict Blitz will be identified as a food by worker ants and carried back to the colony to be fed to the larvae.  InVict Blitz contains imidacloprid and when fed to the ant colony will cause high mortality through ingestion and transfer to other ants.  It is important to bait early in the season (February - March) to reduce colony sizes.  InVict Blitz can be re-applied on a weekly basis. Apply a two foot band around the perimeter of a building which would equate to 4 oz of material / 200 linear feet. All turf and landscaping areas of the property can treated with 4-8 oz per 1000 sq ft., or 10-20 lbs. per acre. The high rate is recommended for the best results. Full applications of Invict Blitz can be reapplied in one week. Applications should also be made around exterior electrical boxes where these ants are known to invade.

It is important to incorporate an application of the liquid non-repellent insecticide Termidor SC. The treatment area is one foot up the structure and one foot away from the structure.

More than two applications of Termidor SC per calendar year can be made only if applied according to one of the following frequency and dilution rate application scenarios. DO NOT exceed the specified number of applications per calendar year.

The use directions include up to four (4) applications per year at the 0.03% dilution rate for outside surfaces and along the foundation perimeter of listed structures.

0.03% 4 times/calendar year OR

0.06% 2 times/calendar year OR

0.03% 2 times/calendar year and 0.06% 1 time/calendar year

Treatments may be made as a low-pressure general surface spray (coarse flat fan), crack and crevice spray or wall void application, where ants enter the structure, trail around the structure, or where they crawl and hide. For exterior perimeter treatments, apply the rate that's listed above of Taurus SC finished dilution to surfaces up to, but not to exceed, 3 ft. up and 10 ft. of sod out from the foundation. Mounds or nests can be treated directly.

Treatments are to be made up to 10 feet around areas where ants are found associated with utility wires (electrical, telephone or cable). Foam treatments can be applied to structural voids where ants may enter, trail or nest.

Up to four treatments are permitted per year per structure, but the second application may be made within 60 days.

Indoors:

Ants will go inside a structure looking for food, water and shelter. CimeXa Insecticide Dust is a desiccant, non-repellent, no odor insecticide dust that will remain active for 10 years, if it remains undisturbed. Apply CimeXa Insecticide dust at a rate of 2 oz per 1000 sq ft in areas where these ants are likely to be present such as behind baseboards, wall voids behind cabinets, sinks and tubs, cracks & crevices, crawl spaces, around electrical conduits and other areas. When the ant comes in contact with CimeXa they will die.

    Crazy Ants Finally Gone!!

    By Stephen on 09/19/2014

    Verified Purchase

After 2 months of trying to get rid of Crazy Ants in South Georgia, I finally got a product that would do the job. I purchased multiple baits, sprays, and bags of killer from the stores around here and nothing would work. Their trails would be gone for a couple days but then come back even worse. They would re-route around where I sprayed. They seemed to get worse and worse the more stuff I used. They were going up my trees in full force. I purchased this kit from DoMyOwnPestControl. Used the Termidor SC as directed, and the Blitz and no more ants!! Its been two weeks, no trails, no nothing!!! I cannot believe this is all it took. I spend twice as much money on all the other stuff I purchased that didn't work, and I barely even used any of what was in these bottles. I have enough left to start up my own Crazy Ant Killing Company! This stuff works. It really does. I felt like Bill Murray out there trying to kill ants instead of a gopher.

    So far, so good

    By C.j. on 07/14/2014

After fighting crazy ants off and on for years, I bought the crazy ant kit and applied the products as directed. That was a couple of weeks ago and, knock on wood, I have seen only one or two stray ants. The trails of ants I saw on the outside of our home have disappeared. I bought a good sprayer just to use for the Termidor on the exterior of the house, spread the InVict Blitz around the shrubs and used the CimeXa dust in areas such as bathrooms and the kitchen. I used the bellow hand duster to get the dust in the walls and under the kitchen cabinets. I don't have any idea how long this will last, but right now I'm so relieved not to see ants scurrying across my just cleaned kitchen counter tops. Hopefully, this will be the antidote to the ant invasion.

    Verified Purchase

Suddenly I was was overwhelmed by these invasive ants I had heard about. No food was safe anywhere in my house, They ruined my sugar, my Cheerios, flour, honey, they could even get into a jar with the lid screwed tight. Nothing I did had any effect. so I Googled the problem, Do MyOwnPestControl came right at the top of the search. Desperately, I immediately put in my order. no more than 36 hours after that Google search, my ant problem was under control. Gotta love this 21st century.

Q
Do crazy ants bite humans?

The insects I see do bite. They appear to have their nest inside our electrical panel in the kitchen, possibly the threshold at our entry door (there is a slight gap there, but I do not actually see these insects in this area. I will repair this threshold.) They also appear in the living room, bedroom and bathroom counters. Can bites from these crazy ants cause illness in humans? If bombing would help, what should we use? Thanks in advance for your help.

A
We do not recommend using a bug bomb to treat for crazy ants. They actually do not have a stinger like a fire ant but can bite humans. We recommend speaking to your doctor if you feel like you have gotten ill after a bite or if you have any allergic reactions to ant bites. They can build nests and cause damage to areas where there are electrical wiring etc. We would recommend that you treat using the products in our Crazy Ant Kit. It would be better to use a bait labeled for crazy ants like the Advion Ant Bait Gel inside in areas you see them trailing in addition to the kit.

Q
What can I use to get rid of "piss" ants?

I have been completely taken over by these little buggers! They've been in my house, my sheds, my truck, my yard, my grill, and in my trees. They are absolutely everywhere! No matter where I walk, I see trails of ants.

A
Please see our Crazy ant kit.  Persistent ants find the bait matrix used in InVict Blitz Ant Granules irresistably delicious and they take the granules containing the powerful active Imidacloprid right into the heart of the colony destroying it from within. As for the grill and car you could bait around them not in them.

Q
How much land does the Rasberry / Carribean Crazy Ant Kit cover?

I have a little over an acre how many of these will I have to buy

A
The amount of coverage all depends on how you are treating. Termidor is labeled only to be applied around the exterior perimeter of structures. The Invict is applied at a rate of 1lb per 1000 sq. feet and the dust is used for cracks and crevices indoors. 2oz covers 200 sq. feet. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Q
Instrutions

Just reieved the Crazy Ant kit from you consisting of the S, BlitZ & CimeX. What procedure and order should I use In applying each. SC first, then BlitZ and finally CimeX?

A
Please refer to our article How to Get Rid of Crazy Ants. This article explains in detail where and when to apply the spray, dust, and granules. Please be sure to also remove materials such as stacked or piled lumber, stones, bricks, leaf litter, heavy mulch, and other debris that serve as potential ant harborages should be removed as far from the structure as possible. Trim the branches of trees, shrubs, and other vegetation that may serve as ant highways so they do not touch the structure. Also, please be aware that Termidor is for spot treating colonies and trails and not for broadcast application. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
