    Can you separate the load-n-lock anchoring system from Protecta bait station for cleaning, etc?
    Once you connect the bait station to the load-n-lock anchor, can you separate them at some point to be able to fully clean the station or for some other reason? Thanks

    Absolutely.  The stations snap into the Protecta Load-N-Lock Anchoring System and they can be easily unsnapped anytime you need to clean them or service the station.

    I have rats in my yard and neighborhood, messy neighbors!
    I have two dogs that I love dearly, they are very inquisitive. I have been using the wooden Victor traps under a milk crate with a big rock on top of the crate. I think the rats have caught on. Now that I am back to work, I have less time and do not look forward to checking all my traps. What advice can you give me?

    Unfortunately, the only real effective options when pets are involved is to use rat stations to protect the snap trap, or bait that you use. The other option is to address why the rats are around, which may be due to the dog food around or other attracting factors. If you eliminate these issues it may take care of your rat problem without setting any traps or using any baits.  If not, then rat snap traps inside a rat station or a bait that is safe to use around pets such as dogs or cats is usually the best and only logical option.

    Is an additional bait product necessary to purchase for this product? If so, what?

    The product that you have referenced is just an anchoring base for a bait station to attach to and it does not come with the tamper resistant stations or the bait. (be sure to pay attention to the descriptions as some stations are for mice only and rats cannot fit into them):

    Will the Protecta Load-N-Lock Anchoring System
    A

    The Protecta Load-N-Lock Anchoring System – Protect Sidekick will fit only the Protecta Sidekick stations. It will not fit the EVO Express, Ambush, or any other stations. The EVO Express Bait Stations already have a weighted block inside the station, so you would need another weight system with it. The Protecta Ambush is the EVO station without the brick inside.
