    What type of locking device is used to hold the lid down on Protecta Sidekick rat stations?
    A
    All of the Protecta stations use the same proprietary locking mechanism, and they can all be unlocked using a Protecta Key.  Each order of Protecta Stations will come with one Protecta Key.  We actually have a video on the Protecta Key page (follow the link to the key) that will show the snapping lock on the stations and how the key works to open the stations.

    Can I use a Protecta rat bait station for mice too?
    I don't have rats now, but if I have a rat problem in the future, would it make sense to purchase the bait station for rats to kill mice for now and possibly rats later?

    Where is the proper place to place the Protecta bait stations around your home?
    A

    Protecta Bait Stations should be placed along the outer perimeter of the structures. Place one bait station 15-20 feet apart. Be sure the station is right against the structure. Please check out our Rodent Control Page.
