Rat poison bait is a very effective method for rat control. Rat killer bait can be placed indoors as well as outdoors, however baits should never be placed in areas accessible by children and pets. When using rat bait we recommend placing it in tamper-resistant rat bait stations. This will keep any unwanted contact from occurring while ensuring that the rats can find and eat the poison.

Even when using rat bait stations, it is important to keep children and pets away from the treated areas if possible, because there is always the possibility that the rats will die out in the open, and any contact with the dead rodent can spread not only the poison if it is still in the rat’s body but also numerous dangerous bacteria and viruses.
